Welcome to your guided meditation in honor of the summer solstice.
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year,
Giving us the most daylight hours and the shortest night.
A moment in nature which reminds us of fullness and abundance.
Light and brightness.
The simple beauty of being right here just as you are in this moment.
This meditation will gently guide you into the energy of the solstice.
Awakening your own inner radiance.
An opening space for gratitude,
Clarity and abundance.
So finding a comfortable seat.
Sitting up tall and lengthening the spine.
Or if it feels better for you today,
You can also lie down if you feel comfortable to do so you can close the eyes.
Or perhaps lower and soften the gaze.
Let's begin by simply arriving here in this space.
Allow yourself to notice how your body feels today.
Notice that it is being held.
Either by the chair,
Support of a cushion or perhaps the floor.
Steady earth beneath you.
And allow your hands to rest wherever they're most comfortable.
Let's take a deep breath in through the nose.
And exhale slowly and softly through the mouth.
Allowing the shoulders to soften and melt a little further away from the ears as you do.
I bring attention to your breathing.
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to force.
Just noticing.
Noticing the inhale as it comes in.
And the exhale as it lets go.
If the mind wanders,
And it most likely will.
Gently return to the feeling of this one breath in this one moment each time you notice your attention has drifted.
And now let's move your attention to the body.
Softening forehead Unclenching the jaw.
The hands and the fingers Allow the belly to soften.
Let the hips feel heavy.
And let the legs rest here.
You are fully held and supported.
You can allow yourself to let go.
I'd like to invite you to bring one hand to the space just above your navel.
The center of warmth.
Linked to the Manipura chakra.
Imagining a ball of warm light here.
Like a small sun.
A gentle,
Steady golden glow.
With each inhale imagining this inner sun quietly brightening.
Gently warming the body.
With each exhale imagining this glow spreading into the belly and the ribs.
Into the heart down through the hips and the legs.
Turn the arms into the fingers filling the chest traveling up through the throat.
The face and all the way to the crown of your head.
Allowing this inner light to fill you gently.
Energizing you.
Becoming a quality you can lean into in this practice.
Steady.
Confidence.
Clarity.
And inner radiance.
Some resources shows us abundance.
Light that lingers.
Life that grows allow yourself to receive How do you want to feel today?
Now bring to mind one thing that is supporting you right now.
Perhaps a person.
A place.
Practice.
Or a small moment that has nourished you recently.
And notice what this gratitude feels like in your body.
Maybe it's the softening behind the ribs.
A warmth in the chest steadiness in the belly.
It doesn't have to be big.
Just notice.
The rest here in this warm bed.
This feeling of gratitude.
They'll hold space for you.
And bring you back when it's time.
Returning gently to the feeling of your breath.
And your body resting.
And supported.
Sensing your inner sun at your navel.
Study.
Warm.
Quietly shining within.
The solstice offers a gentle reminder.
The after fullness must come change and even as we honour the brightest day.
We must also honour balance.
Rest.
Alongside radiance When you're ready,
Take a deeper inhale.
And a slow,
Easy exhale.
Begin to notice the room around you again.
Perhaps wiggling fingers and toes.
And if your eyes have been closed you can gently blink them open again.
Slowly letting the outward light back in at your own pace Thank you for joining me for this practice.
May you move through this season held by a clear inner light I'll see you next time.
Namaste
