Bhante Bodhicitta is a Theravāda Buddhist monk whose life journey carried him through a career in art, design, fitness, and wellness before embracing the monastic path. After years of transformation and healing, he ordained to dedicate his life to the Buddha’s teachings and to share the path of peace with others. For more than 15 years, Bhante Bodhicitta designed health, nutrition, and life coaching programs that helped others cultivate strength and balance, including N’Yoga Stretch, a yoga-inspired full-body practice refined over decades to release tension, improve mobility, and restore balance. After three years of study under his Vipassana teacher, he built upon that foundation to create Guanyin Sound Meditation—a practice that infuses Vipassana and Metta loving-kindness while using sound as the vehicle for healing, insight, and awakening. With gongs, bowls, tuning forks, and breathwork, Bhante Bodhicitta guides participants into restorative awareness and compassionate presence. He teaches at the Buddhist College of Canada and leads Vipassana and Guanyin Sound Meditation at Wutai Shan Buddhist Garden, Putuo Temple and Padma Refuge Temple, where he is the founder and president of. With warmth and authenticity, this modern monk bridges beginners and seasoned practitioners alike to the wisdom of the Buddha’s teachings, meeting everyone where they are.
