If your mind jumps ahead the moment you try to rest — planning, preparing, rehearsing, or bracing for tomorrow — you’re not alone. Nighttime can make the next day feel bigger than it really is, especially when your nervous system is tired. This gentle practice helps you soften the part of you that’s already carrying tomorrow’s weight. You’ll be guided to notice the shape of your worry without feeding it, offer compassion to the part of you that’s bracing, and gently loosen tomorrow’s grip so your body can settle into rest. There’s nothing you need to solve tonight. Just a soft landing, a little more space, and a moment to breathe. If this meditation supports you, I’d love for you to follow my Insight Timer channel so you can return to these moments of calm whenever you need them. And if you feel comfortable, share in the comments: What part of tomorrow feels a little lighter after this practice? Rest well.
