Welcome.
Today's meditation will be focusing on connection.
So let's take a moment to settle in.
Choose a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down.
And as we get comfortable,
Let's either close our eyes or soften our gaze.
There's nowhere else you need to be.
There's no to-do list.
Begin by noticing your breath.
Feel the inhale arrive and the exhale gently release.
Notice the coolness on the inhale and the warmth on the exhale.
Begin to lengthen your inhales and exhales.
It's coming a little bit deeper into our breath awareness.
And if your mind begins to wander,
Gently bring your awareness back to your breath,
Allowing your breath to anchor you.
Next,
Let's bring our awareness to the places where our body meets the earth.
Maybe that's your feet,
Your legs,
Your hips,
Or your back.
Feel the ground beneath you steady and supportive.
With each exhale,
Allow your body to feel heavy,
Allowing the earth to gently hold you.
Soften your legs,
Your hips,
And your belly.
Allow your shoulders to soften,
Maybe creating a little extra space between your ears and shoulders.
And soften your forehead,
Your eyes,
And your jaw.
If your mind wanders,
Gently guide it back to sensation,
To your breath,
To the warmth around you,
To the connection with the earth.
Now bring your awareness inward.
Notice your inner landscape.
Ask yourself silently,
How am I really in this moment?
There is no right or wrong answer.
Whatever arises,
Thoughts,
Emotions,
Sensations,
Welcome it in.
Either physically or in your mind,
Place a hand on your heart.
Feel the steady rhythm of your heartbeat and notice the rise and fall of your chest.
Offer yourself a quiet acknowledgement.
I am here.
I am listening.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to meet yourself with kindness,
Not judgment,
Not fixing,
Just presence.
Now imagine your breath as a gentle current flowing through your body,
Connecting every cell.
With each inhale,
Imagine drawing in nourishment,
Calm,
Clarity,
Vitality.
And with each exhale,
Release what you no longer need to carry.
Inhale,
Receiving,
And exhale,
Releasing.
Trust that your body knows what you need.
Now gently expand your awareness beyond yourself,
Drawing in the quiet presence of others,
The numerous lives intertwined with yours,
Each with their own story,
Their own strength,
And their own tenderness.
Imagine a soft light within your heart and notice that same light glowing within each person.
No words are needed,
Just a shared presence,
A shared humanity.
Silently offer this intention.
May we feel supported.
May we feel seen.
May we remember we are not alone.
Allow yourself to receive that same intention in return.
Now bring your attention to the air around you,
The same air that moves through the forest,
The same air that creates ripples on a lake's surface,
The same air that moves through the lungs of every living being,
And the same air that is moving quietly through you.
Now imagine roots extending from your body into the ground beneath you.
Through these roots,
You are held,
Nourished,
And connected to the vast living network of the earth.
Allow yourself to connect with the earth's energy,
Feeling your breath in sync with the rhythm of nature,
Slow,
Steady,
Intentional.
Hear the gentle whisper of nature calling you home,
Home to yourself,
Your breath,
Your body,
Your inner knowing.
Home to each other,
Each living being uniquely shaped by individual experiences.
No two are alike,
But all are part of something vast and whole,
Connected to an earth's shared presence.
Home to nature,
The quiet earth beneath you,
The steady rhythms that remind you that you are held.
You are supported,
You are connected,
And you are home.
Begin to deepen your breath,
Keeping your eyes closed or your gaze softened.
Bring awareness back to your physical body.
Take a moment to reflect.
What does connection feel like in your body right now?
Allow that feeling to settle into your body and mind,
Something you can return to long after this moment ends.
Stay here as long as you need to.
Thank you for sharing your meditation practice with me today.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
