This is a follow up to my poem “Leo: A Poem for a Friend (A Poem of Thanks)”. This was my way of being able to say everything I never got to say to a very dear friend I had but have regrettably lost touch with. He may never know about it but it's healing just to know it exists.

Words unspoken I'm sorry if I hurt you or if I made you cry.

It was never my intention.

God knows I'd rather die.

Your smile was my sunshine.

Your laughter was my friend.

Friendship is a blessing that never really ends.

You knew just what to say to make it all okay.

You seemed to know my heart right from the very start.

I felt strong within your presence.

You gave me wings and I could fly.

The day that I went quiet,

That's the day I nearly died.

If I get a second chance,

I'll tell you what I'd do.

I'd tell you what you mean to me and prove my friendships true.
