The Song of His Soul I met someone today,
It didn't happen in the usual way.
He sang to me the words of his heart,
And caused in mine a sudden spark.
He makes love to the audience with the sound of his voice,
And exposes his soul with everything he writes.
Spiritually alive,
But poetically dead,
My voice was gone,
And with it my friend.
Today when I heard his musical art,
My soul awakened,
And with it my heart.
How could this man,
Who is years beyond me,
Have so much in common,
It's hard to believe.
Now I'm listening to his words,
And singing right along.
I feel so connected,
My senses are strong.
Music is a language we all understand,
God's working in him,
Fulfilling a plan.
This feeling inside I can't quite explain,
His music drowns out some of the pain.
His eyes have a sadness that makes me want to cry,
His smile is mild,
Like a soft breeze blowing by.
Music like his,
Not often found,
I love to listen and I turn it up loud.
No more silence,
The words flow free,
I'm back to writing poetry.
Some may call this only a crush,
But to me it's become a creative rush.
So thank you Kiefer,
My beautiful muse,
You are the reason for my peaceful mood.
Every chance I get I'm playing your songs,
Like a private concert all day long.
Shopping,
Cleaning,
Whatever it takes,
It's become the drug I love to take.
Though I know we'll never meet,
Your music means so much to me.
Thank you Kiefer is not enough,
So I made this poem to sum it up.
