Because Of You

This poem was inspired by and is dedicated to my Mom. This was written on August 15, 2002, when I was first really discovering that I had a deep passion for poetry. This was my way of thanking my Mom for passing on to me her love of poetry and for all she had done for me up to that point to encourage me in my dreams.

To clarify, my Dad has had an equally huge impact on me also, but this poem was meant to reflect my mom's mutual love of poetry.
