Surrounded by dancing leaves in the morning Norwegian forest.
Today I have a question.
I hear all the time that I am powerful.
I have all the power I need within.
So my question is.
.
.
How does that really work?
How and when am I connected to all that life force?
I'm sure maybe you have in your life periods of time where you don't feel powerful.
Where you don't feel a lot of energy.
And I want to look a little closer to what are we doing when we feel that lack of power,
Of energy,
Of life.
And what are we doing when we feel empowered?
Again I need to look at my own life because that's the closest real experience that I have access to.
And today I want to really have a straight dialogue with my soul,
With my soul library,
Which is open 24-7.
It's just I need to attend to it.
I need to open the door and be willing to listen to fresh answers,
Not prefabricated mental solutions that I already know about?
No,
I want to ask the fresh source.
So are we,
How is that,
How is it that we are born with so much energy and power and Nevertheless,
We feel sometimes depleted from it.
And the first thing that dawns upon me is that what I do,
Which makes me depleted,
Is that I place the authority over my own power outside of myself.
I let circumstances,
Other people,
Situations.
.
.
The side.
If I should feel powerful or disempowered.
In other words,
I am not aware that I am the gatekeeper of life force.
And what does that mean?
It means that when.
.
.
I'm in a situation or with someone.
Instead of placing my attention on the impact from the outside,
I need to place my awareness my focus,
My attention inward.
And Be.
Conscious about if I'm open and receptive or if I'm closed down and contracted.
That again means that even if something is unpleasant around me,
I can still be happy.
Be open and receptive inside.
When I am open and receptive,
I'm also open and connected to the very force I'm made of.
Life.
The more I live in a constant,
Almost chronic state of contractedness,
Protectedness,
The less power I have access to and the more.
.
.
Dependent on getting it from the outside I will be.
I will,
In other words,
Be more vulnerable to what you say to me or what you don't say,
What you give to me or what you don't give to me,
Because I have placed my power source in you.
That also leads me to be more controlling,
Manipulating,
And stressed,
Because I'm trying to control you,
So you give me what I need.
Very hard job.
Very tiring.
And of course,
It does the opposite.
It depletes me totally.
With that said,
It's also important to just highlight that I have a pulsation,
Like I'm open towards life,
Towards everyone around me,
And then I have a pulsation that I go and retrieve back.
And I relax into myself.
But it's different to kind of withdraw,
Take a break from my environment,
Make a walk in the forest or close my eyes or pay attention inward than actually closing down.
The closing down,
The shutting down,
The lockdown is what causes me to lose power.
And that is strictly said only necessary when there is a big impact of pain coming and then I need to protect myself.
That's why we have the protection system.
But most of us,
Including myself,
Are using it over time,
Using it too much.
That's why to have a daily practice of opening up from the inside,
It can be simple,
Two minutes is extremely important.
And the funny thing is that when I am connected inside of me openly,
Then the inside of me is connected to the big source.
So going in is going out.
But going out without being connected inside.
Doesn't work very well.
That's why all the spiritual traditions point the finger inward.
And me myself doing a long deep yoga education,
Making retreats,
Silent retreats for two weeks,
For example,
No talking.
I've done it many times.
And doing yoga from early morning to late at night.
And when I come so deep inside of me,
There is no ending place.
Because the inside of me is connected to everything.
And I love that I have a first-hand experience with that.
I haven't read it anywhere.
I have experienced it with all of my cells.
Every part of me knows that that is true.
So something so simple as just breathing in,
Closing my eyes,
Breathing deeply into my nose,
Through my nose,
Feeling the inside of me,
And then breathing out through my lips slowly,
A few times,
Two,
Three minutes,
Or even one minute.
Is bringing my attention inward.
It is not It is not egoistic.
Like my grandmother's generation,
Where being attentive to yourself was being egoistic.
It was the same as rejecting everything around.
But it's absolutely not true.
When I don't connect and rest and stay open inside,
I will reject everything around me,
Because everything around me will be too much.
If I don't have a center.
And just the fact that the women behind me,
Before me in my family tradition,
Didn't have this opportunity that I have in my lifetime to feel good about being aware of my inner.
Net.
My inner being.
Allowing myself to do that that no other women have done before me.
Is a thing in itself.
I need to remind myself that it's okay.
And if you think about it,
When someone is sick,
When someone is not okay,
Healthy,
Where is the attention?
Is it outward?
No,
It's inward.
It's inward.
Then we don't have the extra capacity to give out to others.
Then we become self-centered,
Which in a way is natural because our attention is needed.
Inside to heal.
Because I have made the journey inside my path of life,
I now have so much to share with you.
There are so many jewels.
And this,
Making a podcast,
Making episodes and sharing this,
Is actually something that really,
Really empowers me.
And hopefully,
You too.
Thanks a lot for your time.
I wish you a beautiful day!
Until next time!
