This is a relaxation for your whole body and your mind.
Before we start,
I just want to ask you to check in with yourself.
This is something that we very rarely do.
We ask others,
How are you?
How are you feeling?
How are you today?
But we never actually really ask ourselves that question.
So just check in with yourself now.
How are you feeling?
And rate yourself on a scale from 1 to 10.
10 being totally relaxed and chilled out,
To 1 being,
Oh,
I'm so stressed.
Where are you on that scale?
When you find your number,
Remember it,
So that when you check in with yourself again,
You can decide if that number's changed,
And if this relaxation has been helpful for you.
So just make yourself comfortable,
Either sitting or lying down.
If you feel comfortable to close your eyes,
Do so.
It just takes away one sense.
It helps your mind just to switch off a little.
Take a few deep breaths,
Deep into your belly.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Just let your body find its own breathing rhythm,
However you feel comfortable.
Imagine that just at the top of your head is a wave of relaxation that's going to enter your body.
Just picture this wave now.
It's a loving,
Relaxing,
Lovely wave.
It's going to just wash over every single part of your body.
As it washes over your head,
Feel that wave of relaxation moving through the top of your head,
Through your mind,
Over your eyes,
Going down over your face,
Relaxing each muscle,
Each nerve,
Letting loose,
Letting go,
Washing over your neck and shoulders now,
Releasing any tension.
The wave is going down and down,
Letting go of all tension,
Letting go of all stress,
Feeling it washing away with the wave.
Every cell,
Every muscle,
Every nerve is being lovingly bathed and left feeling safe,
Calm and relaxed,
Allowing yourself just to fully relax,
Breathing deeply,
Releasing any tensions.
Let the thoughts come and go without really engaging in any of them.
Take this time now for you.
Feel the wave of relaxation now moving down through your organs,
Your heart,
Your lungs,
Your liver,
Your stomach and digestive system.
Feel the wave of relaxation moving towards your fingertips.
Just imagine yourself seeing drips from your fingernails.
These drips of stress and tension dripping as you let go of anything and everything that you need to release from your body.
As this wave carries on down through your lower back and down into your hips,
Moving down into your legs,
As this wave goes through your body,
It's lovingly releasing any tension,
Any stress from your cells,
Your muscles,
Letting go,
Releasing anything that needs to be released.
Your legs are feeling so relaxed now as this wave is just going down,
Leaving your knees feeling really,
Really comfortable and relaxed,
Moving down into your calves and your shins,
A relaxing,
Loving wave just flowing down your body,
Releasing any tension,
Anything that's stuck,
Releasing it,
Leaving a feeling of calm,
Feeling fully relaxed.
As this wave now enters your feet and into your toes,
Again see your toenails dripping any stress,
Anything that needs to be released,
Leaving your body feeling so relaxed,
But also feeling fully refreshed.
