Before beginning the meditation practice I'd like to share with you here,
I believe there are two important concepts to understand.
Today I want to share them with you.
The first is about the planet we live on.
We live in a three-dimensional material world.
A world of opposites,
Light and shadow,
Good and evil,
Joy and sorrow,
Pleasure and pain.
Everything exists in pairs.
This is the nature of our reality on earth.
Because of this,
As long as we live within this world of opposites,
We will always experience both sides,
Good days and bad days,
Happiness and sadness,
Gain and loss.
No matter how hard we try,
We cannot have one without the other.
But here is the key insight,
Beyond this world of opposites,
There is something else.
Something that transcends the duality.
And that something is love.
Finding love means stepping beyond the world of opposites,
Beyond the constant back and forth of positive and negative experiences.
When you find love,
You no longer need the positive to feel good.
Because you are already complete,
The negative loses its power over you and what remains is peace.
Now,
The second concept,
Ego.
Ego is your thoughts and emotions.
It is the voice in your head that says,
I like this and I don't like that.
It is the part of you that judges,
Compares and reacts.
Every person has a unique ego,
Shaped by every experience they have ever had,
In this lifetime and beyond.
Your ego is not bad,
But it limits you.
And as long as your ego is in control,
You will continue to be pulled between the opposites,
Between what you want and what you don't want,
Between pleasure and pain.
The goal of this meditation is not to destroy the ego.
It is to transcend it,
To move beyond it,
So that love,
Not ego,
Becomes the foundation of how you live.
When ego leaves,
Life is a constant struggle.
When love leaves,
Life becomes something else entirely.
In my next talk,
I will introduce a meditation practice that helped me transcend ego and find true love.
A practice unlike anything I had encountered before.
It works directly with your daily emotions and it can change your life from the inside out.
