Hello.
And welcome.
My name is Marin,
And I am so grateful to share this space with you tonight.
Tonight,
Our practice aligns with a beautiful time of year in the Vedic tradition.
The Festival of Ganesh Chaturthi This sacred time is dedicated to the energy of Lord Ganesha.
Who is known in Hindu tradition as the remover of obstacles.
The Keeper of the Gates and the Lord of New Beginnings.
When I spent time living and training at a yoga shala in Rishikesh,
India.
I learned that we do not always need.
To aggressively fight or smash our obstacles.
Often the truest way to clear a path.
Is to simply soften.
To ground ourselves.
And to allow the heavy,
Chaotic things in our minds to settle.
You do not need to follow any specific faith.
To feel the universal power of a fresh start.
Whether you are carrying a decision you have been avoiding.
Or a phase of life you are finally ready to move past.
Tonight.
We honor this festival together.
We do it through the simple,
Sacred act of letting go.
So your mind can rest.
And your path can clear.
Before we dive into the silence.
If this practice brings you peace,
Please consider following my profile and leaving a review.
It helps me continue to share these journeys with you.
Let yourself settle.
Into your bed.
Make any adjustments you need to your blankets or pillows.
And gently.
Close your eyes.
Take a long,
Deep breath.
Deep breath.
In through your nose.
Hold it for just a moment.
And let it fall out of your mouth with a soft sigh.
Let's do that one more time.
Breathe in space.
And exhale all the energy of the day behind you.
Feel the heavy weight of your body.
Pressing into the mattress.
You are completely supported.
You do not need to hold yourself up anymore.
The Earth beneath you has you fully secure.
Bring your awareness to your feet.
Let the toes soften.
Let the ankles release.
Move your attention up through your legs.
Relaxing the calves.
Loosening the knees.
And letting your thighs sink heavily.
Into the bed.
Feel the base of your spine.
The root of your body.
In the ancient traditions,
This is where the grounding,
Steady energy of Ganesha resides.
Unmovable,
Safe,
And completely at peace.
Let your lower back spread out and relax.
Soften your stomach.
Feel it rise and fall like a gentle wave.
Let your shoulders drop away from your ears.
Release any tightness in your arms,
Your hands,
Your fingertips.
Finally.
Soften the muscles around your eyes.
Unclench your jaw.
And let your tongue drop away from the roof of your mouth.
Your entire body is now a space of stillness.
With your body resting heavily.
Imagine.
You are standing at the beginning of a beautiful winding path.
At twilight.
The air is warm.
The sky is a deep blue.
Peaceful indigo.
This path.
Represents your journey forward.
Your next chapter.
But.
.
.
As you look down at the path,
You notice it feels crowded.
There are heavy stones scattered across the dirt.
These stones are the things you have been carrying.
The decisions you are avoiding.
The worries about the future.
The attachments to a phase of life that you have already outgrown.
Notice how heavy it feels to carry the mental weight of these things.
You do not need to solve these problems tonight.
You do not need to figure out the answers right now.
Instead,
You are allowed to clear the way.
Picture yourself.
Picking up one of those heavy stones.
Look at it with kindness.
Acknowledge what it taught you.
And then.
Gently set it down at the side of the rope.
Ledge the Earth.
Take it back.
With every slow exhale.
Imagine another stone dissolving into mist.
Exhale.
And let go of the need to be perfect.
Exhale and let go.
Of the phase of life that is ending.
Exhale and clear the way for what is coming.
The path before you is becoming smooth.
Open.
And completely clear.
Look down the open path now.
Feel the profound space you have just created.
There is nothing left to carry.
There is nothing left to do.
The way forward will reveal itself naturally when you wake up.
For now.
Your only job is to rest.
As my voice begins to fade away.
.
.
Let yourself drift into the ambient music.
Let the sounds carry you deeper and deeper into a restorative healing sleep.
Breathe in peace.
Breathe out.
The past.
Shanti Shanti Shanti.
Peace.
Peace.
Peace.
Good night.
