Just Pause – Take a Breath is a short meditation to help you slow down and come back to yourself. You’re gently guided to pause, notice your breath, and create a moment of calm in the midst of your day. This simple practice can be done anywhere, whenever you need a breath of space. Small pause, steady breath, clearer mind.

Just pause.

Take a moment to stand still.

Wherever you are,

However you are sitting,

Standing or lying down,

Allow yourself to pause.

And as good as you can,

Let your weight sink downwards.

Feel your feet on the floor,

Or the contact of your body with the chair,

Or the surface beneath you.

Everything you feel or experience is okay.

Gently bring your attention to your breathing,

Just noticing.

Where do you notice your breath?

Sense the inhale arriving and the exhale leaving.

With each out-breath,

You might allow your body to soften a little.

If it feels right,

Take one slightly deeper breath in and slowly letting it go.

And when you are ready,

Carry this pause with you as you continue with your day.
