Grounding body and breath Take a moment to arrive in a comfortable seated position.

Allow your body to settle,

Just as it is.

There is nothing you need to change or to achieve.

Begin by bringing your attention to your feet.

Notice the contact with the floor,

The weight,

The steadiness,

The support beneath you.

Now shift your awareness to your seat.

Feel the place where your body meets the chair.

Allow your weight to drop down,

Letting yourself be supported.

Bring your attention to your hands.

Notice where they are resting.

Feel the sensations in the palms and fingers.

Let the hands be soft and at ease.

And now gently include the breath.

Notice the natural rhythm of breathing,

The inhale and the exhale.

There is no need to control it.

Simply letting the breath come and go in its own way.

Feet on the floor.

Seat supported.

Hands resting.

Breath flowing.

If your mind wanders,

Simply return to these sensations.

Grounded.

Present.

Here.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and carry this sense of steadiness into the next moment.
