Aart Smit is a psychologist, coach, and certified mindfulness teacher (MBCT & MBCT-Life), as well as a yoga teacher with a practical, down-to-earth approach. He integrates mindfulness, meditation, and psychological tools—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—to support clarity, emotional balance, and meaningful living. His work is informed by ongoing personal practice, including a 10-day Vipassana retreat and yoga teacher training in India. Aart teaches mindfulness and yoga at Maastricht University and has extensive experience working with students and young professionals who face stress, pressure, or questions about direction and purpose. His sessions offer a grounded, compassionate, and accessible space to slow down, reconnect with the body and breath, and cultivate awareness in everyday life.
