Hello and welcome.
I'm so glad that you have arrived here today.
My name is Taylor Eastman.
And what you are about to experience is one of the most sacred journeys that I know.
Journey back to yourself.
Today we are going to visit your inner child.
The younger version of you,
Or perhaps many versions.
Who carries wisdom,
Wounds,
Wonder,
And truth that your adult self has been waiting to receive.
This is a journey of healing.
A reunion.
Of love coming home to itself.
Before we begin.
I want you to take a moment to set a gentle intention.
You don't need to know exactly what you're looking for.
You can simply hold the question,
What does my inner child most need me to know right now?
Perfect.
Your heart already knows the way.
Go ahead now and find a comfortable position.
Lying down is ideal for this experience.
Although remaining seated upright is perfectly fine as well.
Let your body be fully supported.
Lay your arms rest gently at your sides or simply place them in your lap.
Gently close your eyes now.
And take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And release it through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in,
Drawing in openness and safety.
And exhale,
Letting go of anything that doesn't need to travel with you today.
One more time,
Breathe in and out.
And exhale fully,
Arriving here,
Arriving now.
Beginning at the crown at the top of your head.
Feel a warm,
Gentle wave of relaxation.
Beginning to move through your entire body.
Your scalp softening.
Your forehead becoming smooth and still.
The space behind your eyes releasing.
Your jaw unclenching.
Your mouth falling slightly open.
All the tiny muscles of your face melting into ease.
This wave flows down through to your neck and throat.
Your shoulders dropping,
Releasing everything that they've been quietly holding.
Down through to your arms.
Your hands.
Your fingertip.
Heavy and completely at rest.
Your chest softening.
Your heart space opening.
This wave moving down through to your belly.
Releasing any tightness or tension held there.
Down your lower back.
Letting go completely.
Moving down through to your hips.
Your thighs.
Your knees.
To your cab.
All the way down through to your feet and your toes.
Your entire body is now relaxed,
Soft,
Open,
And safe.
Feel the surface beneath you,
Holding you completely.
There is nothing that you need to do.
Nowhere that you need to be.
Nothing that you need to hold on to right now.
You are safe.
You are loved.
And you are ready.
In your mind's eye,
I want you to imagine yourself in the space where you are right now.
Your room,
Your bed.
The familiar comfort of this place that you know so well.
As you rest there.
You become aware of a door.
Perhaps it is your bedroom door.
Or your front door.
Or simply a door that has appeared in the way that things appear in the most beautiful of dreams.
It is warm and inviting.
And you know somehow,
With every part of you,
That something wonderful waits on the other side.
You rise gently and you move towards it.
You place your hand on the handle,
Feeling its warmth beneath your fingers.
And you open the door.
Before you is a pathway.
Soft and warm and golden in the light.
It stretches ahead of you through a landscape that feels like something out of a dream.
Lush and alive,
Filled with the soft sounds of nature,
The gentle rustling of leaves,
The distant song of birds.
The air here is clean and sweet.
And as you step through the doorway and onto the path,
You feel something shift within you.
A sense of coming home.
A sense of remembering something that you have always known.
You begin to walk now.
The pathway leads you gently into the woods.
Ancient trees rise on either side of you.
Tall and wise,
Their branches weaving overhead into a soft canopy that filters the light into gold.
The ground beneath your feet is soft,
Mossy,
Alive.
With each step,
You feel more grounded.
More present.
More connected to the living earth beneath you and the quiet magic of this place.
The forest feels safe,
Enchanted,
As if it exists just for you.
Just for this moment.
You notice the way that the light moves through the leaves above you.
Dappled and dancing.
The way the air smells of earth and pine,
And something sweetly familiar.
Perhaps you hear water somewhere nearby.
The gentle murmur of a stream.
Or the soft sound of wind moving through the high branches above.
You walk deeper into the woods,
And the path begins to curve gently.
And as it does,
You become aware of something ahead.
A warm light glowing softly through the trees.
And with it.
The most wonderful of smells.
Something is cooking.
Something warm and nourishing and home.
The smell of comfort itself.
Your steps quicken just slightly,
Drawn forward by something that feels like memory.
Like belonging.
And then you see it.
A cottage.
Tucked into a clearing in the woods as if it has always been there.
As if the forest itself grew up around it to keep it safe.
It is small and perfect and glowing from within.
Warm amber light spilling from the windows out into the soft evening air.
You walk towards it slowly,
Taking in every detail.
The way the ivy climbs the stone walls.
The little window boxes overflowing with wildflowers.
The worn wooden door with its brass handle,
Slightly ajar.
As if someone knew that you were coming.
You push the door open and you step inside.
Fire crackles in the hearth.
Warm and golden,
Casting a dancing light across every surface.
You can feel its warmth on your skin from across the room.
And it fills you immediately with a sense of safety.
So deep.
It almost makes you want to cry.
The smell of something wonderful simmering on the stove drifts through the air.
Something that smells like home,
Like love,
Like every meal that has ever made you feel taken care of.
You look around and you take it all in.
Bookshelves lining the walls,
Filled with beautiful old books with worn spines and soft covers.
Little objects of decorations that catch the firelight.
Crystals and candles and small treasures that each seem to hold a story.
Soft blankets draped over an armchair by the fire.
A thick rug beneath your feet.
The whole place wrapped in a feeling that is equally part fairytale and part home.
This place was made for you.
Every detail of it is exactly right.
You find a comfortable place to settle.
Perhaps the armchair by the fire,
Or the soft rug on the floor.
And you let yourself sink completely into it.
You are safe here.
Completely and utterly safe.
Nothing can reach you here that does not come in love.
And now,
From this place of warmth and safety.
.
.
We extend an invitation.
In your heart,
Silently or out loud.
I invite you to call forward your inner child.
The younger version of yourself.
Or perhaps there are different versions.
Who carry what needs to be seen today.
Who have been waiting,
Perhaps a very long time,
For this moment.
You might say.
In whatever feels natural.
I am here,
I am safe,
And I am ready to listen.
Will you come forward?
And now.
Just take notice.
Who would like to step forward now?
A child appears at the edge of the room.
Or perhaps from around the corner.
Or simply is just suddenly there.
The way things are in most tender of dreams.
Take note who has come forward today.
How old do they appear to be?
What are they wearing?
What is the expression that is on their face?
Do they seem shy or eager?
Or perhaps a little bit of both.
Perhaps more than one version of you has come today.
And that is perfectly welcome.
There is room for all of you here.
Simply notice who is here.
And let yourself feel whatever arises.
This moment is real.
And it matters.
Move towards your inner child now.
Or invite them to come closer to you.
In whatever way feels right.
Perhaps you sit together by the fire.
Perhaps they climb into your lap.
Perhaps you simply sit side-by-side on the soft rug,
Close enough to feel each other's warmth.
Look at them.
Really look at them.
And let them know in whatever way feels true.
With words or look.
Or simply by the way that you are fully present with them.
That you see them.
That you are here.
And that they are not alone.
When you are ready.
Ask them.
What do you need me to know?
And what do you have to say to them?
What has been on your heart,
Perhaps for years?
That you've wanted your younger self to hear.
Is there anything that your inner child needs from you?
Something that they have been longing for.
Something they needed then that perhaps that you can offer now.
And is there anything that you need from your inner child?
Some quality that they carry.
Some joy or lightness or courage that you would like to reclaim?
Is there something that needs to happen?
Some step.
Some change,
Some healing.
In order for you both to move forward together.
If action was asked of you today.
Is that something that you are willing and able to do?
And if the answer is not yet.
Honor that completely.
There was no rush here.
There is no wrong answer.
If the timing does not feel right.
Simply ask.
What needs to happen first?
What would help me to feel ready.
Take a moment now to simply be together.
No more questions.
No agenda.
Just the two of you.
By the fire in this safe and beautiful place.
When you feel ready.
Begin to bring this visit gently to a close.
Turn to your inner child.
And offer them your gratitude.
For coming.
For trusting.
For being brave enough to show up today.
Let them know that this is not goodbye.
That you will come back.
That the cottage is always here and the fire is always burning.
And they will never have to wait alone again.
Perhaps you offer them before you go.
A hug,
Or a promise.
A small token of your love.
Whatever arises naturally is exactly right.
And let them offer something back to you.
If they wish.
Perhaps a word,
An image.
A feeling to carry with you.
Thank you,
Little one.
I see you.
I love you.
And I am not going anywhere.
Slowly and gently.
Begin to become aware of the cottage around you once more.
The warmth of the fire.
The soft light.
The smell of this beautiful space.
Take a deep breath here.
In this safe space.
And as you exhale,
Feel yourself becoming more solid.
More present.
More grounded in your body.
You carry everything from this visit with you.
The wisdom,
The love,
The knowing.
It is woven into you now.
And it goes where you go.
Begin to rise gently from your place by the fire.
Taking one last look around in this beloved space.
Knowing that you can return here anytime that you wish.
The door is always unlocked.
The fire is always lit.
Your inner child is always here.
You step back through the cottage door and onto your path.
The woods welcome you back.
The trees standing tall on either side.
The light filtering gold through the canopy above.
You walk the path back the way that you came.
Slowly.
Peacefully.
Each step,
Carrying you gently back towards the threshold.
You feel different.
Lighter,
Perhaps.
Or fuller.
Or simply more yourself than you were before.
The door appears ahead of you.
The familiar door that you stepped through at the beginning of this journey.
You walk towards it.
And with gratitude in your heart for everything this journey has given you.
You step back through.
You are back in your body now.
In the room where you began.
Begin to deepen your breath just slightly.
Becoming more aware of the weight of your body.
The surface beneath you.
The temperature of the air around you.
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Welcoming sensation and movement back into your physical form.
Become aware of the sounds in this room that are around you.
The feeling of the space that you were in.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And exhale gently.
Fully present.
Fully here.
When you feel ready.
And only when you feel ready.
Gently open your eyes and return to this space.
Take a moment before you move.
You may want to journal what came through.
The age that appeared.
What was said.
What was felt.
These impressions can be tender and fleeting.
Honor them by capturing them while they are fresh.
And be gentle with yourself today.
You did something brave.
You showed up for the part of you that has been waiting.
The cottage is always there.
The fire is always burning.
And your inner child.
Is always waiting to meet you.
You can return anytime that you wish.
Anytime that you need to listen.
To heal.
Or simply to remember who you were before the world told you who you needed to be.
Thank you for trusting this space.
And for honoring yourself enough to receive.
Take care of yourself.
And I'll see you in the light.
