Mini Meditations To Overcome Procrastination: Live Recording
In this live recorded session*, I will offer several mini meditations, designed to help you overcome procrastination. As a researcher, academic writing coach, and former procrastinator, I will share scientific insights that explain how these exercises can combat procrastination. We’ll begin with a grounding and awareness exercise to center our attention and reduce stress through deep breathing, which has been shown to lower cortisol levels, making it easier to focus. A body scan meditation follows, helping to release physical tension, which reduces mental stress and avoidance behaviors. Next, we’ll engage in visualization, picturing ourselves successfully completing a task. We’ll also break down the task into manageable steps, which studies show reduces overwhelm and encourages progress. Finally, we’ll practice self-compassion, recognizing that procrastination is a common human experience. *Live recorded and might contain background noise
