This guided imagery for sleep welcomes kids to the field of dreams, in which they will be guided to visualize a beautiful field of flowers with a special hypoallergenic pollen that helps with sleep. Using a special technique with the flower, they will be gently guided to sleep. This is the same meditation that was posted by Whitney Reynolds in 2020.

Hello and welcome to Yoga Kidra,

Bedtime relaxation for kids.

Tonight when we close our eyes for sleep there is a field of beautiful flowers waiting for us.

So now is the time to lie down.

Make yourself comfy and gently close your eyes.

Be sure to have your pillow and blanket in the most perfect position for your body tonight.

Get as cozy as you can possibly be.

Now I want you to pay attention to your breath.

Slowly breathe in and out through your nose or your mouth if it's more comfortable.

I will count down from 5 to 1 and during this time you should be paying close attention to your breath.

When I say 1 you'll be completely relaxed.

Good job.

Now you are relaxed.

Imagine that you are in a beautiful field of flowers.

This field is called the dream field.

In the dream field there are hundreds,

Thousands of colorful flowers everywhere you look.

And in this field you feel free and completely relaxed.

The dream field is a place that you can visit when it's hard for you to fall asleep.

It happens to all of us.

There might be something that disturbs us.

We might have a busy day or maybe we're just excited about something.

Whatever it is,

It's okay.

There are just some days when it's harder for us to fall asleep.

It might also be possible that it's hard for you to fall asleep every single day.

And the dream field can help you in this case too.

You're always welcome to visit the dream field.

In fact,

The more you visit the dream field,

The easier it will become for you to fall asleep.

Why?

Well,

The reason is that you can find flowers in this field that can help you fall asleep quicker.

All the flowers in this field have a special pollen that can magically help you get sleepy.

It is hypoallergenic,

So there's no need to worry about allergies.

And if you use them the right way,

You will fall asleep so peacefully and so easily you won't even realize that you did it.

Now are you ready for the trick?

As you imagine yourself being in this beautiful field of flowers,

Keep your eyes closed,

But take a moment to look around and visualize in your mind's eye that there are wonderful flowers everywhere you look.

Some are red,

Some are white,

Some are violet.

Choose a flower that attracts you the most.

Now go to it and take a closer look.

Silently,

Ask the flower permission to pick it.

May I pick you?

The flower says yes,

And you gently pluck it from the earth,

Bringing it toward your nose.

Take a deep breath in,

Then let it go.

As you let the breath go,

Think to yourself,

Ah,

I'm so relaxed.

The flower is all yours now.

Lying on your back,

On the ground,

In the dream field,

Imagine yourself placing the flower on your forehead,

Between your eyebrows,

So that the pollen can connect with your skin.

Remember,

This pollen has a very sleepy effect.

It can help you fall asleep when you massage your forehead with it.

So let's start.

Place the flower on your forehead,

Between your eyebrows.

Rub the flower around and round on your forehead,

Especially in the area between your eyebrows.

Slowly massage this little area.

Take the flower round and round,

Turning it again and again,

Slowly,

Slowly.

Great.

You can feel that the pollen is on your forehead.

You can feel that this area is covered by the hypoallergenic pollen that will help you fall asleep.

Then suddenly,

Or is it gradually,

You get more and more sleepy.

You feel very tired and sleepy.

The pollen helps you.

It wants you to fall asleep quickly and easily.

And actually,

You feel that you could fall asleep in this very moment.

Your eyes get more and more heavy,

And now you are sure that the pollen helps.

It can always help whenever it's hard for you to fall asleep.

If you are still massaging your forehead with the flower round and round,

You may notice that it gets harder and harder to stay awake.

Now you can stop.

If you have not fallen asleep yet,

Now is the time to come back from the dream field and rest into the comfort of your own bed.

Feel the pillow beneath your head,

The soft mattress below your body,

And the warm blanket or sheet covering you up.

Snuggle into your restful sleep,

Remembering that the pollen of the flower is still with you.

The dream field is always available for you to come back to.

After this,

You'll fall asleep more easily than usual,

And your dreams will be pleasant and sweet.
