This is a phone-free wake meditation for mums.
Three minutes of me time before the day begins.
Put your headphones on silent.
Lie on your bed.
Do not disturb your phone.
Let's take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Filling your belly through your nose.
Pause and then release through your mouth,
Making a whooshing sound.
Let's do that again.
Notice how you feel.
There's a relaxed sensation rushing through your body.
If you can feel the comfortable bed that you're lying in or the chair that you're in,
The warmth,
The goodness.
Focus on the things that make you smile.
When you finish the meditation,
I want you to write down on a piece of paper three things that you are grateful for today.
Three things that mean everything to you.
Let's leave the socials,
Let's leave the emails for at least an hour.
This will give your brain the time that it needs to wake.
Drink a glass of water when you get out of bed.
And go and be the calm and beautiful soul that you truly are.
Your best self is really only a step away.
