Welcome to WorkMinded,
And thanks for joining us for this new moon cultivation and renewal practice.
As part of our Nervous System focused career coaching,
We love exploring complementary practices to help reflect on our work and align with our purpose,
And this includes drawing inspiration from the natural world around us.
Tapping into the cadence and rhythms of the moon and the lunar cycle in particular can help provide a really unique perspective on our work experiences and overall purpose alignment.
New moons are widely considered to be a chance for fresh starts and cultivating new intentions.
They mark the beginning of a new lunar cycle,
And we'll often feel this reflected in our lived experience as some sort of inflection point,
Maybe while endings move toward beginnings,
Or closed chapters move toward fresh starts,
Or blocked roads start to direct us toward new paths.
Each new moon moment offers us a powerful and cosmic sort of blank page to recalibrate our efforts and our energy,
Especially as we move along toward a more aligned work journey,
Offering us a chance for new energy,
New information,
And new directions to come into our awareness.
You can choose whether you want this gentle inquiry to be effortless or effortful.
Some options are simply to relax and receive what this session brings to your understanding,
Or you can also explore your reflections in a journal as you go through the practice.
And sometimes when we connect with our bodies and sensations in them,
It can feel intense or uncomfortable or even alarming or completely inaccessible.
Using your senses to focus on something external in the space around you can help to serve as an anchor to balance this internal experience.
But wherever you are,
Set your own compassionate pace here,
Giving yourself plenty of space to adjust and plenty of permission to draw back from the practice anytime.
So you're invited now to settle in,
Taking steps to feel as safe and comfortable as possible,
So you can tune into this new moon experience as deeply and as effectively as possible.
You're invited to start by connecting your breathing rhythm with our aspirations for this practice of cultivation and renewal.
First,
Gently tuning into the natural cadence of your breathing,
In and out.
And now we might shift to a more intentional inhale,
Deliberately expanding the breath to cultivate as much space in the body as you comfortably can.
Before taking a nice full breath out,
Maybe taking some extra time at the very end of the exhale to ensure that this cycle of the breath is fully complete.
And next we can bring even more intention to the inhale,
Actively inviting in sensations and perceptions and ways of knowing that are unique to your own experience in your own system.
And using this micro information to calibrate your breathing toward what feels supportive for you.
And then breathing out any sensations and perceptions and ways of knowing to create some distance from anything that might not feel useful during this next cycle of your breath,
Even if you can't identify exactly what that might be.
And finally,
Bringing a gentle attention to that tiny but vital pause just at the bottom of the exhale,
Right before the cycle of your breathing begins again.
And this space is our destination today,
That brief connection between both crucial parts of the cycle,
That powerful new moon breathing moment that offers us such an opportunity for exploring what kinds of deliberate intentions could help cultivate an aligned purpose as the cycle begins again.
And also where we might want to renew our ideas of what will feel supportive to us as we journey onward.
And now go ahead and let your breathing slowly return to its natural rhythm.
And now that we're in the cadence of this new moon energy,
We can ease into a gentle invitation inspired by the fresh start vibes of this cosmic minute.
Where could your system be guiding you to focus your energy and resources in support of an intention that you currently cherish around your work?
Just like we cultivated awareness through various ways of knowing in your body,
You can invite in what might feel most supportive to you at this particular inflection point in your work journey.
And just like we renewed an understanding of what might not feel supportive at this time,
You can explore taking some distance from other resources and focus areas that are not in alignment with this current work cycle for you.
A specific issue or item might float to your consciousness here,
Or you might not feel drawn just now to something identifiable,
But whatever arises for you or doesn't is completely okay.
All of this provides useful information for us,
And this is more of a chance to open the door for inquiry at a powerful point in our cosmic loop without having the pressure of needing to find any answers or specific resolution.
And if it feels comfortable,
We can deepen our reflection a little bit here.
Is there something specific that you feel drawn to cultivate in your life at this time to help support your greater intentions and maybe a more aligned purpose?
Or is there a sense of renewed understanding where you might want to most focus or dedicate any of your energy and resources?
We'll lean into a sense of potential and opportunity for anything that might have surfaced into your awareness during this session,
Bringing the cycle of this practice full circle and returning to our breathing practice here.
With your inhale,
You can cultivate what feels supportive at this point in your journey.
And with your exhale,
Renewing the space around you to make room from whatever doesn't feel supportive at this time.
Inhaling and exhaling here,
Intentional and aware,
And honoring that vital pause of the new moon at the bottom of the breath cycle.
And with the awareness and space created by all this cultivation and renewal,
You're invited here to close this practice by setting both an intention and an aligned action to honor anything that you might want to conserve from this session.
We like to frame intentions with an I want to statements and we like to frame aligned actions to go with it with a so I will statement.
So it might unfold something like this.
I want to cultivate a more aligned sense of purpose in my work.
So I will do one thing each day that helps me to feel in flow.
These intentions and aligned actions can be macro or micro.
The invitation is to choose something that will be useful to you as a guiding roadmap to continue along this cosmic journey until the next new moon.
I want to.
So I will.
And as we prepare to wind down this session,
You might feel called to seal in this roadmap with one more cycle of breath.
Inhaling,
Exhaling and acknowledging that new moon pause at the bottom of this breath.
Acknowledging the completion of this cycle to clear up space for the upcoming new energy.
And maybe you linger for just another minute to feel the overall effects of this practice on your system.
And then when you feel ready,
You can slowly and gently let your body and your attention return naturally to the space and the place around you.
We are always so honored when you choose to practice with us.
You can come back to this session at every new moon to explore your insights over time or revisit it anytime that you might want to explore setting intentions and creating new insights.
And you can use these sessions for a new beginning or any kind of inflection point in your work experience.
And in the meantime,
Thank you so much for joining us and we're so excited for our next session together.
