47 - Forgiveness & Awakening

You are a shining Light... Radiance and Love itself. To the degree we don't experience this we are covered and crusted over. Jesus was an amazing example of letting his Light shine, As he said, "Don't cover your Light with a basket. Let it shine" We explore forgiveness as maybe the major lynchpin for opening up and letting go of the blocks that cover us up.

I think of a lighthouse or a star. I removed the bushel at my uncle's funeral. Moved towards my family's grief, tears, and just held them...others were doing the best they could. This talk is aligned with what has and is happening in my world. I was going to ask how your relationship was with your parents thanks for answering! My dead dad and I are 1...closest we've ever been. Just Saturday had an unfortunate sadness that actually lead to the greatest breakthrough for my mom and I. It was intense and without those phrases you used I feel we have forgiven and blessed one another. I could clearly hear Jesus say look how easy it is to let go.
When I did your visualization so many little children started appearing to be loved on, got some hugging to do 💙

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟It finally happened 🫂💫💯Thank you so much, William Cooper ❤️🕊️🌅I finally, FINALLY, after years of pain, years of trying, years of meditation…tonight I finally had my “eureka” moment…I finally melted the tension, I finally forgave my abusers to the point where I physically felt the tightness in my chest and abdomen RELEASE so deeply and so authentically that I’m in a space even beyond tears of joy and gratitude…it’s like I’m in a new space of Being. Once again, Dear William, I hope you can forgive me for the wall of text I’m about to write; I write it in hopes that it can help others who feel as stuck as I was:
So much of what is in this talk can feel “impossible” or “oversimplified” if you’re recovering from childhood/deep, extensive ongoing trauma. If you’re experiencing deep, seething rage at the people who raised and/or hurt you, if you’re feeling like it’s impossible to see your abusers as anything but despicable people who don’t even deserve forgiveness: I was where you are now, and I promise you, you will be able to forgive them one day. Your intentions to forgive are guiding you more than you realize.
Right now, it may all feel like some sort of math in your head, like if you invent and employ some equation, then you’ll arrive at the “solution of forgiveness”. It took me way too long to realize that isn’t what it’s about entirely. If you’re constantly saying to yourself: “How could they DO THAT?” - and feeling empty inside when you don’t get an answer [read: the math isn’t working out], it’s because you’re still on your journey of intention to forgive; you’re still processing data on a soul level, not just an intellectual level.
For me, I had gathered every bit of data about my abuser [narcissistic grandfather] in the hopes that it would help me heal. I “did the math” to the point of making myself dizzy and spinning around trying to make sense of it all.
“He had everything going for him! We catered to his every whim! Why was he so unappreciative? Why didn’t he see us?” - over and over trying to make the math work. There was a crucial point, and it wasn’t that I had missed it, I had already gathered that bite of data!
Ultimately, it was that I wasn’t able to see it for the simple truth that it was:
My grandfather was severely traumatized in his childhood, and it so deeply affected him, that it colored his whole world, and it calibrated how he treated himself and others.
His view and treatment of me had nothing to do with my worth, my abilities, or what I was worthy of receiving in life, or perceiving myself as.
It really is that simple.
I finally arrived at the destination I have been desperately seeking: FORGIVENESS of him!
Now, if you’re reading this and thinking, “well good for you lady, but how is that supposed to help me?”
It’s like this: your intentions to forgive and let go can be thought of like a train ticket to a destination, but there’s no time stamp of arrival on the ticket itself.
You WILL ARRIVE at your Forgiveness Destination, I promise you, I PROMISE YOU, no matter how hopelessly lost you might feel right now, you will arrive. You have to let yourself “melt the tension”, as William Cooper says, and it’s a process.
You’re on the train, and the train is moving towards the destination. You bought the ticket with your intention to forgive. Trust the train = Trust the process! The train will get you there! Just relax in the beautiful train you’re on. You’re in a beautiful sleeper cabin on that train, the bed is soft and comfortable, the views outside the window are gorgeous, and you’re on your way. Rest on your train journey. In your resting, you will melt the tension. You don’t need to control what the unwinding tension looks like any more than you need to control the movements of the train. Just trust your journey, you will arrive unexpectedly, and it will be the most glorious experience you’ll ever have.
The rubber band finally spun the way it needed to and came to a rest. There are still other rubber bands to unspin pertaining to other traumas in my life, but the train journey to forgiveness of my grandfather finally arrived at the destination.

really great talk on forgiveness. have you ever done a talk on pride and humility? I asked this because I find when I get stuck in unforgiveness. I’m often stuck in wounded pride or hurt pride. 🌞🌈⭐️🌞🌈⭐️🌞🌈⭐️🌞🌈⭐️

OMG… this is an extraordinary summary of all you have taught so far! What a perfect explanation. I am excited to share (someday) how this is exactly what I needed to “ice the cake” of a protocol I put together for working with trauma. This lesson clarifies for me the “why” the protocol was/is powerful. I was “blindly” following my intuition and observing my clients but I didn’t really “see” what I was doing. Lightbulb! Forgive me for I knew not what I was doing! LOL … but my inner guidance knew all along!
I love the Four Agreements! Peter Coyote reads it for those who would rather listen and he is like listening to “butter!” Beautiful!
