In this short visualisation, you will be gently guided to a beautiful and peaceful place which is personal to you, where you can relax and let go. This is perfect for those times when you need to get away from the stresses of day to day life.

Visualizing your peaceful and beautiful place.

Visualization is a really great way to use your imagination to help you relax.

So simply get as comfortable as possible.

You can lay down or you can sit down.

Simply get as comfortable as possible and listen to my voice and follow my direction.

So right now just do your best to relax and gently close your eyes and breathe deeply from your tummy.

And just notice when your tummy is rising and when tummy is falling.

And just notice how your body feels right now in this moment.

And as you breathe allow your body to completely and fully relax.

And you may like to imagine that every time you breathe out you are becoming more and more relaxed.

And just notice how your body is becoming limp and comfortable.

And just let any tension in your face just to go.

So any tension in your forehead can just go as you relax.

Any tension around your eyes and your jaw.

Just relax your face as much as possible.

And just relax in the comfortable darkness that surrounds you.

You are safe and now is perfect time just to relax.

Once you feel completely relaxed and ready start to bring yourself to one of your favorite peaceful and beautiful places.

This could be a place you've been before like a silent forest full of tall green trees or maybe a white sand beach where the ocean waves gently lap the shore and the smell of the sea makes you feel at home.

It could also be a place built entirely in your imagination.

Just think of a place which is peaceful and beautiful to you.

And wherever this special peaceful place is for you you can take some time now to imagine it as completely as you can all around you.

And once you have your special place in mind bring yourself into the picture.

Imagine that you are in this beautiful place.

Put yourself in there and take a walk and look at the lovely peaceful relaxing surroundings.

Before you were looking at this peaceful scene like a painting from a distance and now you are in the scene.

You are living it and be there right now.

What do you see around you?

Just look around and see what you see.

What in this scene is most relaxing to you?

Take a walk in this special place and see all that you can see.

What do you smell in the air?

Maybe you can smell trees or fresh flowers or maybe you can smell the salty air of the ocean.

Just bring some smells into your visualization and smell the air where you are now.

And maybe reach out and touch something that's attractive and peaceful to you.

How does it feel?

Is it soft to your touch?

You're living in the scene.

You can feel the ground beneath you and the air on your skin.

And how does that feel?

And take a moment to listen.

What sounds do you hear in this beautiful new surrounding?

Can you hear birds chirping in the woods?

What do you hear the sound of the ocean waves?

Or perhaps there is music playing in the background?

Or maybe you hear the voice of an old friend that really calms you.

Whatever you hear,

Take a moment now to enjoy listening to it.

You can stay in this scene as long as you want to,

Enjoying this moment of relaxation that you have taken for yourself.

And feel free to walk around in this special place as long as you want to.

It's yours.

You can change the scene as you wish.

Remember that this special place and these feelings of relaxation are always here for you and you can come back to it whenever you wish.

You need not be afraid to lose it.

It's always with you.

And the relaxation that you feel right now at this moment is yours to call on any time you wish.

And when you are ready,

Slowly let the scene before you dissolve back into your mind.

Allow yourself to slowly come back to the comfortable darkness that was there before you imagined your special place.

And when you are ready in your own time,

You can slowly open your eyes and come back to this moment,

This time and this reality.

And before you get up,

Just take a moment to note how relaxed you feel right now.

And then slowly you can move on with your daily life and have a great day.
