This is a short guided meditation for tending to your inner child.
Take a moment to settle in and make yourself comfortable.
Seated or lying down.
You may choose to wrap yourself in blankets or prop yourself with pillows.
Allowing yourself to be held.
In a gentle,
Supportive nest.
And take a moment wherever you are.
To soften into.
The support beneath you.
Allowing the body to soften.
Allowing the earth to hold you.
Notice how this supports.
Is both soft enduring.
Notice how.
There is nothing you could do.
To lose this.
Allow yourself.
To feel this nourishment.
To experience it.
As love.
And as you do so,
Notice.
What is present within your body.
Tension,
Tightness,
Pain.
Openness,
Softness,
Pleasure.
Allow yourself to witness.
The full range of your experience.
As if all of it.
Was perfect.
Just as it is.
Notice this capacity.
To whatever extent it's here.
To love,
To accept.
To allow for everything to be.
Witnessing your own experience.
Not as a problem.
But as simple truth of what is.
Imagine.
Witnessing your own experience.
As a mother would witness a child.
With such love and compassion.
For all that is real.
This.
Is your inner self.
This resource.
Of nurturance and love.
From this place,
And you may.
.
.
Bring your attention.
To whatever tenderness is within you.
Maybe you place a hand upon the belly.
Upon the chest.
Perhaps you wrap your arms around you like a gentle hug.
Whatever the case.
Allow your attention to turn inward.
Toward the place in you.
That is tender.
That he is vulnerable.
Carries pain or grief or fear.
Perhaps an image arises for you.
Like a young child in your mind's eye.
Perhaps even younger than that.
Perhaps memories arise spontaneously.
Of past difficulties or harm.
Perhaps.
There is a response in your body.
I can A.
Or tension.
Or tears.
Whatever the case.
Connect with this tenderness.
From this place of compassion.
Offering presence to this tenderness within you.
As a mother would tend a child.
The way the earth.
Holds you in this moment.
With nothing but care and love.
Witness.
This tenderness in you.
This vulnerability.
As though there were nothing wrong.
As though this tenderness and this vulnerability absolutely belongs.
As if there were nothing to fix.
As if these feelings were welcome.
As if even here everything is okay.
Perhaps.
Your hands.
Bring loving touch to the body in some way.
Rubbing gently.
Wrapping and touching the face or the head or the neck.
Simply holding yourself here in this experience.
Perhaps there is movement.
Like a gentle rocking back and forth.
Perhaps.
There are deep,
And cleansing breaths.
Soothing breath.
Loving breaths.
New my.
Speak words.
This tenderness inside you.
I love you.
And I care about you.
And it matters.
What you feel.
Where it's light.
I am here for you.
I am staying with you.
I love you,
Just as you are.
And simply bear witness.
To this tenderness inside you.
Just listening.
Just being with you.
Just holding.
This tenderness that is yours.
This attention.
This present moment.
That you offer.
Is absolutely enough.
This is exactly.
The medicine.
This tenderness within you,
Me.
And whatever.
Has arisen here.
You might.
Offer.
Thank you.
Thank you,
Tender ones.
For revealing yourself to me.
Thank you for trusting me.
With your vulnerability and your beauty.
I am glad to know you.
I am glad to see you.
And I.
I am your friend.
And then you may gently relax.
Allow your eyes to open if they have been closed.
Bringing this inward attention to a close,
Knowing you can always come back.
And you might look around your space.
Might allow your body to move.
Noticing.
How it feels to be here now.
Noticing.
Of the world.
Comes in.
You may stay here in gentleness as long as you wish.
And when you are ready.
Continue your day.
In whatever direction.
Emerge and arise slowly from this space.
Allowing some small amount.
At least of this tenderness.
To walk with you.
Through your day.
