Bring color into your meditation with this 5-minute Color Wash practice. Begin by choosing a color that feels right for you — a shade that supports and calms. As you breathe, imagine this color arriving as gentle light, washing through the body from feet to crown, rinsing away tension and softening the mind. Finally, let the color fade into pure, clear light, resting in awareness itself. Perfect for a quick reset during the day, this practice brings calm, clarity, and renewal in just minutes.

Find a comfortable position where you can lie or sit down.

Close your eyes now and pick a color that feels supportive right now,

Just the first one that pops into mind.

It can be a soft blue,

Warm gold,

Forest green,

Or anything that feels kind.

So hold it in your mind lightly now,

And as you inhale,

Imagine the color arriving as a gentle light,

And as you exhale,

Let it settle into the body.

No force,

Just rinse and settle.

And now,

Inhale the color into the feet,

And then exhale,

And it settles.

Color into your calves and knees now,

And then let it settle.

Now,

Color into your thighs and hips,

And let it settle.

Let this region take exactly what it needs,

And if thoughts arise,

Good,

Make it a color too,

And then pass.

And now,

Color into your belly.

Rinse and settle,

And color into your chest and heart,

And then rinse and settle.

And now,

Color your shoulders,

Your arms,

And even your hands.

Your fingertips glow,

And then they soften.

So let the breath be easy now,

And let the color do the work.

And now,

Color into your throat and neck,

And feel the space open.

Color now into your jaw,

Cheeks,

Eyes,

And even your scalp.

Feel the tiny muscles unwind now,

And a gentle glow at the crown of your head,

And then a soft rain of color through the whole body.

And now,

Let the color fade into clear light,

As if the body is a clear glass full of daylight.

There's no edges to manage here,

Just brightness without effort.

And now,

Notice the light appear in awareness itself.

Color comes,

And color goes.

The canvas of awareness never changes,

So rest as that.

And now,

One deep final breath in and out.

Thank the color that visited,

And open your eyes now when you're ready,

Taking the clarity with you.

Namaste.
