Let's begin by finding a comfortable place to relax and unwind.
If you need to sit,
Find a comfortable seat to sit on,
Making sure you're comfortable first.
If you need to lay down,
And you're falling asleep,
Or just getting more comfortable,
Please do so now.
Begin by taking in some refreshing deep breaths.
Just breathing in and breathing out naturally.
When we begin to meditate,
We sometimes focus on our breathing a little too much,
Where it feels manufactured or not natural.
Just let go of that,
Knowing that breathing is natural and automatic for all of us.
Just let it find its correct rhythm now.
Good.
Now let your senses begin to feel out the room or space that you're in.
Just begin to hear all the sounds in the room,
Feel the temperature,
Is it hot,
Is it cold,
And if you still need to get comfortable,
Now is the time to do so.
Just understand that none of the sounds or temperatures in the room will deter you from your session today.
In fact,
Those sounds will only work to take you deeper into your practice.
So begin to notice your thoughts and feelings.
What do they feel like?
Are your thoughts rapid or slow?
Either way,
Just notice them.
Just notice your physical feelings and your emotional ones.
Understand that they do not control you and they do not rule you.
You are the master and they are the slave.
Just notice them and when you do,
Return your focus to the breath,
The simple breath of air coming in and out of the nose.
Notice the cool sensation around the nostrils when you breathe in and the warm sensation around the nostrils when you breathe out.
Good.
So just allow yourself now for a few more deep breaths.
Breathing in all that calm and exhaling all the tension and stress in the body.
Breathing in that calm and exhaling any stress or any tension in the body now.
Very good.
Now,
In your mind's eye or your imagination,
I'd like you to imagine yourself in an old cinema or a theater,
Whatever is your fancy.
You walk into the theater room and notice the large red curtain on the front facing wall and a series of empty red velvet seats for your comfort.
No one is in the seats and the theater is completely empty,
But it feels so inviting.
So find a seat that looks comfortable to you,
Maybe somewhere in the middle of the cinema or even a nook off to the side,
Whatever is comfortable for you.
Feel yourself sink into the plush seats and allow the sensation of the velvet seats to soothe you and allow yourself to go even deeper,
Deeper down into relaxation.
So take a deep breath in through the nose and let it out nice and slow and smooth.
And as you do so,
You notice that you go even deeper.
So one more big breath and allow the exhale to take you even deeper.
Good.
Now as you look up towards the screen,
You notice the curtains begin to open revealing a large white screen.
And as the screen is revealed,
The lights dim even more,
Providing you with more comfort and more ease.
The unseen projector in the back of the cinema begins to light up producing in large black letters the number 10,
The number 10.
See the one in the zero,
The number 10.
In a moment,
The number is going to count down from 10 to one.
And when it does,
You'll notice something amazing begin to happen.
As the numbers count down,
You'll notice that you go even deeper into that beautiful relaxation you've created even deeper than you were before.
Each time the number counts down,
You'll go 10 times deeper than before.
So let's begin.
10,
Feeling sleepy and tired now.
9,
Letting your muscles relax and unwind.
8,
Letting your jaw relax and hang open if you need to.
7,
Relaxing your shoulders,
Letting them droop by your sides.
6,
Relaxing 10 times deeper than before.
5,
And 4.
3,
Feeling even more tired and even more relaxed.
2,
Listening to only the sound of my voice now.
And 1,
All the way relaxed now,
Falling even further asleep now,
Fully relaxed.
Good.
Now notice the large white screen of the cinema.
Its perfect color of white seems to soothe you even more.
Now on the screen is the word sleep,
The word sleep.
See the S and the L and the two E's and the P,
The word sleep on the screen.
And when you see the word sleep and only when you see the word sleep,
You find yourself becoming even more sleepy and even more drowsy than you were before.
Sinking deeper and deeper now into that warm comfortable feeling,
That natural way of falling asleep.
Good.
Now,
As we look at our third eye chakra,
Do we know where it is?
The chakra is located in the center of your forehead,
Between your eyebrows.
The function of the third eye chakra is to allow for a state of openness and imagination.
When your third eye chakra becomes unbalanced,
It can present troubles,
Knowing that you are connected to everything,
Just as everything is interconnected.
When you balance the third eye chakra by meditating on it and concentrating all of your focus on this location,
You experience clarity of thought and a powerful ability to visualize.
You're imaginative,
Intuitive,
And see the events in your life as symbolic with a beautiful lesson to be learned.
So let's begin by taking three deep and full breaths to relax and settle our minds a little.
Full breath in now,
Filling your body with fresh oxygen,
And exhale,
Letting your mind kind of slow down just a few notches.
Inhale in,
Noticing how powerful you feel when you take a nice deep breath in.
Breathing now,
Letting your mind slow down a few more thoughts per minute.
And take a third deep breath in,
Really imagine filling yourself with a healing substance.
And as you exhale,
You see your thoughts passing so very slowly by now,
Your mind is relaxing right now.
You see a few thoughts pass by very slowly.
Begin to become aware of your third eye area,
In between your eyebrows and about a half an inch up.
You can vividly visualize a spinning orb right in the middle of your forehead.
It's tiny right now,
Maybe the size of a marble,
But it's color a lush purple and it is as bright as a star.
You can clearly see the bright purple light illuminating in the center of your head this very moment.
It's amazing how easily this visual is coming to you.
You deeply and consciously see this purple light growing brighter and stronger within you.
Each time you exhale,
Imagine that the orb is spinning slightly faster.
Now take a really deep and powerful breath in.
And as you do,
See this light growing so bright that it radiates out so far that it's encompassing your entire body.
And as you exhale,
The orb is accelerating in speed,
Spinning with such force and ease.
Breathe in one more time,
Feeling your breath powering the chakra.
And exhale and see your out breath spinning the orb of purple light faster than anything you've ever seen in motion.
It's spinning so quickly and shining so brightly now that the whole world can feel and visualize this energy that you've created.
Just be with this energy now and enjoy it in all of its beauty.
Let your breath flow and become slightly conscious of breathing.
You don't have to do anything or change anything at all.
You notice that your body does all the breath work automatically.
You the listener are just the awareness,
Observing,
Noticing,
Being aware of.
You are the watcher.
While your body continues to go through all of the chemical processes and rejuvenating maintenance,
Millions of cells are regenerating at every second,
Naturally and automatically.
Compare it to your breath.
When you become aware of your breath,
You can breathe deeply.
And when you're not aware of your breath,
Your breathing becomes automatic.
You can do the same with cell regeneration.
Give permission to your body to regenerate your cells even faster.
Now give a direct order to each cell with the power of your imagination to fully regenerate and feel your cells increase in function.
It could be a tingling feeling or a warm sensation or nothing at all.
This is also known as the feeling we call relaxation.
So let your body and mind become so deeply relaxed now,
So tingly and warm,
So pleasant that each cell is supported in a full rejuvenation process.
And you as an observer remain completely calm and at peace.
Right now,
Your focus is relaxed and is probably wandering around experiencing different things.
But let's take this focus and concentrate again on the area of your forehead in between your eyebrows.
Let all your focus rest in between your eyebrows,
Right where your third eye is located.
Feel the physical sensations here.
Maybe you can feel a slight tingling or maybe you can't feel any sensation at all.
Whatever you're experiencing is okay.
Just maintain focus on this area.
You are consciously becoming very familiar with this area.
You might have never really thought to feel this place so intensely before.
Or perhaps you're really familiar with it and know these sensations well.
Either way,
Right now is a completely new experience for you.
And now,
While you're focusing on your third eye chakra,
Hear yourself saying these positive affirmations.
One affirmation as you inhale and one affirmation with each exhale.
So inhale fully now and hear yourself saying,
I am intuitive.
Exhale I am knowing.
And inhale my inner vision is strong.
And on the exhale,
I am listening to my intuitive self.
And on the inhale,
I am true to myself.
And exhale slowly now,
I have unlimited possibilities.
And inhale slowly,
I am connected to my amazing potential futures.
And exhale,
I trust my intuition.
Good.
Keep your focus on your forehead and let go of your breath again.
Just let your body settle and do what it needs to do.
Just observe how your breath behaves and notice any changes it makes.
Completely let go of your focus on your forehead now.
Let go of any need to do anything at all.
Just remain in this relaxed state becoming sleepier and even more relaxed than you were before.
