Welcome to this guided journaling meditation.
Today we'll be focusing on money mindset.
Meditative journaling is unlike regular meditation as you will not be entering a fully meditative theta state,
Rather going within to reflect on memories,
Thoughts,
Beliefs,
And connecting with your inner knowing.
During this time I will offer you some journaling prompts,
Leaving space in between each one,
Giving you the time to really reflect and journal on what's coming up for you.
If you need more time with any of the prompts,
Just pause the recording until you are ready.
For this exercise you will need a paper,
A pen,
And a comfortable place to sit down.
To begin I'll invite you to close down your eyes and take a few deep grounding breaths.
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Taking another deep breath in here and out through your mouth.
Just clearing your vessel and allowing yourself to really ground into this moment.
Begin to reflect on your earliest memories related to money.
How old were you?
What was happening around you?
How did it make you feel?
Describe the situation in as much detail as possible.
Now reflect on how money was discussed and managed in your family when you were growing up.
Recall conversations about money in your family.
Did your parents or caregivers have any specific beliefs or behaviors related to money?
Think about any direct or indirect messages you may have received about finances growing up.
What are some common beliefs you hold about money?
Do they feel positive or negative when you think about them?
Do you believe that money is easy to come by or is it always a struggle?
The old saying money doesn't grow on trees is a very common limiting belief.
Write down any limiting beliefs that you recognize within yourself.
Explore any fears or anxieties you have about money.
What situations or circumstances trigger these feelings within you and how do they impact your financial decisions?
This could come across as a fear of checking your account balances so instead of reviewing your finances you may choose to remain in the dark of their status.
Describe your financial goals and dreams in an ideal world.
This means if there were absolutely no barriers whatsoever how would your financial situation look?
Consider for a moment how your self-worth is connected to your financial situation.
Do you feel that your net worth defines your self-worth?
Do you judge others based on their income or their possessions?
How have these beliefs affected you throughout the course of your life?
Reflect on whether you tend to operate from a scarcity or lack mindset feeling like there's never enough or an abundance mindset believing that there's plenty for everyone in your day-to-day life.
An example of scarcity mindset in daily life would be always rushing,
Feeling like there's never enough time,
Constantly seeking external validation,
Comparing yourself to others,
Never feeling satisfied or fearing illness.
To give you an example of what an abundance mindset would look like,
Recognizing your worth independent of any accomplishments,
Believing that there are endless opportunities to grow and learn,
Being grateful for your health and understanding that there are many ways to improve it.
As you reflect on which end of the spectrum you generally gravitate towards,
List some examples for yourself.
Now let's list all of the ways you are already abundant in your life regardless of your financial situation.
This could include relationships you are grateful for,
Skills you possess,
Your good health,
Opportunities or experiences.
How can you focus more on these aspects of abundance within your life?
Write down or say positive affirmations related to money.
These could be statements like I am free to create a new positive financial future.
I am so worthy of all this money coming to me.
I make wise financial decisions that support my goals.
I feel grateful as I pay my bills,
As I know that more money is flowing to me now.
Obstacles are opportunities for financial growth and learning.
I am not bound by my family's financial patterns.
I create my own path.
I'm the author of my own financial story and it's filled with abundance and success.
Repeat affirmations such as these daily to help shift your mindset.
Take note of any affirmations that really stuck with you and use them as a mantra you can recite to yourself daily or write your own but the key to shifting your money mindset is repetition.
Healing these deep-rooted beliefs can take some time so I encourage you to come back to these journal prompts often.
If you'd like to receive some of my favorite affirmations I'd love to share them with you.
Just leave a review on this meditation and let me know that you're interested.
I will respond to your comment with some affirmations.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
I'm confident that with self-awareness and intention you can create positive change in your life.
You can rewrite your story.
Namaste.
