Welcome.
And thank you for joining me for this meditation.
Intended.
To rewire your brain for safety.
This is a somatic meditation.
To help with trauma healing.
Let's begin by taking a deep breath.
Inhaling gently through your nose.
And exhaling.
With ease through your mouth.
Allow yourself to come into this moment.
Letting go of whatever came before.
And nothing that lies ahead.
Matters right now.
You are here in the present moment.
Giving this gift to yourself.
And knowing there is nothing here.
You need to do right now.
But be.
This meditation is a space for nervous system repair.
And gently reteaching your body.
And your brain that it is safe to be here.
You're not broken.
You are rewiring.
And restoring your connection to safety from the inside out.
Begin by closing your eyes or softening your gaze.
Let your attention settle inward.
Bringing awareness to your breath.
And knowing there's no need to change anything.
Just let your inhale.
And your exhale,
Move naturally.
Now bring your attention to your spine.
Feel its length.
From the base near your tailbone.
All the way up.
To the crown of your head.
Notice any sensations.
Or tension.
Can you find any spaciousness?
Bring your awareness to your hands.
Let them rest gently either on your lap.
By your sides.
Or over your heart and belly.
Notice their temperature.
And their weight.
Now bring your focus.
To the contact points between your body and mind.
And the ground or surface beneath you.
Whether it's a chair.
The floor.
Or a bed.
Notice where you are being held.
These contact points are your anchors.
They're not just physical.
They're neurological.
When you tune into them.
You're sending signals to your brain.
We are grounded.
Safe and can rest.
Take a moment here and let yourself be supported.
With each safe breath,
You're building new pathways.
With each moment of stillness.
Your nervous system is learning something new.
You are creating a new default.
Without fear.
Or vigilance.
And finding peace.
Now let's gently begin the practice.
Of somatic pairing.
Matching breaths.
With safety.
Take a slow inhale through your nose.
And as you do,
Say silently to yourself.
I am safe.
Now exhale softly through your mouth.
Allowing your shoulders to drop.
Draw to unclench.
And your belly softens.
Again,
Inhale,
I am safe.
And exhale,
Feeling release.
Let's do that again.
Inhale slowly.
Feel the breath expand through your ribs.
Quietly say,
I am safe.
And on the exhale,
Gently let go.
This simple pairing,
Breath and safety is your rewiring process.
Showing you the amazing resilience in your body and nervous system.
That is connected to the simple act of breathing.
You're teaching your brain.
It can associate breath,
Stillness,
And presence with security instead of threat.
Each repetition strengthens a new connection and reality.
Bringing peace.
To your body.
An internal home.
Now picture.
A warm light surrounding your body.
This light is soft.
Golden.
Calming and gentle.
It's not overwhelming.
And holds and meets you where you are.
Feel it hover around you for a moment.
Then imagine it becoming.
A pulse.
In rhythm with your breath.
Like a soothing,
Gentle heartbeat of light.
As you breathe,
The light flows into you.
First into your chest.
Let it soften your heart space.
That place where so many emotions are stored.
Whether grief,
Joy,
Fear,
Or hope.
Let this warm light meet all of it here.
Now let the light rise to your shoulders.
Peel them melt,
Just a little.
There is no need to carry the weight of the world right now.
Let the light travel up your neck.
To your jaw as it unclenches.
Your temples as they soften.
And your forehead as it smooths out.
Everywhere trauma once lived.
This light is making contact.
Not to erase it.
But to meet it and say.
You are safe now.
You're not alone anymore.
If emotion comes up,
Let it.
And know that you are held.
If stillness arises.
Allow yourself to receive it.
And if your mind wanders.
Gently bring it back.
With your breath.
To your body.
Feeling the light.
There is no wrong way to show up here.
All that matters is that you are here.
Present.
Awake,
And healing.
Let's return to the breath.
And on the inhale,
Quietly say to yourself,
I am safe.
And on the exhale.
I can let go.
Again.
On the inhale.
My body belongs to peace.
And on the exhale,
I don't have to brace anymore.
Your body has always wanted to heal.
Even when it was stuck in survival mode.
When it felt numb.
Disconnected or flooded.
It was doing its best to protect you.
But now in this space.
With your breath.
You are reminding it that it can soften.
And rest.
And trust the moment again.
This is the work of rewiring.
Not in one grand transformation.
But in small moments of safety.
That build on each other.
And create the greatest softness.
In your body.
Let yourself feel the truth.
That you are healing.
Rewiring.
And doing beautifully.
Let's come back to the anchors in the body now.
Feel your spine again.
Tall,
Steady,
And supported.
Peel your hands.
Grounded and calm.
Peel the surface beneath you.
Stable.
Reliable.
And holding you without effort.
If it feels good.
Place one hand over your heart and the other on your belly.
Take two slow breaths here.
Feeling the rise and fall.
The rhythm of safety.
And your life.
Again,
Inhaling through the nose.
And exhaling any tension.
At the mouth.
Let your breath be your medicine.
And your presence be your power.
You don't need to become someone new.
You are simply returning to who you have always been.
You are safe.
Healing,
And whole.
Right here,
Today.
Let's seal this practice with one final breath together.
Inhaling gently through your nose.
Holding it at the top.
And exhaling with a soft sigh.
You've done something powerful for yourself today.
You've told your body the truth.
That it's safe to exist here,
And that peace is possible.
And healing is already happening.
When you're ready.
Begin to wiggle your fingers.
Your toes.
Maybe roll your shoulders.
And gently reawaken your body.
Open your eyes if they were closed.
Look around your space.
And allow the light to return slowly.
Carry this feeling with you.
This quiet knowing that your body is wise.
Your breath is powerful.
And you are safe.
Thank you for joining me today.
Namaste.
