
Future Self Meditation And Visualization

Welcome to your future self visualization and meditation.
It's Amy Ehlers here.
To begin,
Go ahead and get into a comfortable position,
Perhaps lying down or sitting up.
Whatever will allow you to relax and travel to this beautiful place and time.
Begin by welcoming in three deep breaths,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth,
In through your nose and out through your mouth,
In through your nose and breathing in a little bit more and out through your mouth.
Good.
Imagine a blue light of relaxation coming down from the sky and gently touching the top of your head.
As this blue light of relaxation touches the top of your head,
It melts away any stress,
Any tension.
And it begins slowly moving down your body,
This blue light of relaxation,
Releasing stress and tension as it flows down your jaw and your neck,
Down your shoulders,
Down your arms and elbows,
Wrists and hands,
Continuing down your chest and each and every vertebrae of your back with this blue light of relaxation,
Relaxing you and absorbing the stress and tension so that it just melts away.
Continuing down your hips,
Your pelvis,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves and shins,
All the way to the tips of your toes.
Take a deep breath as you are encapsulated in this blue light of relaxation.
Ah,
Good.
Now in your mind's eye,
You imagine this cocoon of blue light slowly beginning to float up into the air,
Taking you with it.
Imagining this cocoon of light going up to the ceiling of the dwelling that you're in.
And like magic,
You go through the air and like magic,
You go through the ceiling,
Going up higher and higher,
Making out the coastline,
Up higher and higher through the cloud cover,
All the way up until you end up in the quiet and softness of space,
Floating in this cocoon of relaxing blue light.
And you look down and you see the blue green ball of planet earth below you.
And you enjoy this perspective for a moment,
Feeling safe in your cocoon,
Really drinking in the quiet and softness of space and drinking in the big picture of life from outer space.
Now noticing a few paces off,
Another cocoon of light.
Notice what color the cocoon of light is.
And easily and gracefully,
You come out of your cocoon of blue light and make your way over to this new cocoon of light.
And you settle in for a descent down to planet earth 20 years into the future.
The best possible version of you and life on earth 20 years into the future.
You begin your descent down,
Going down further and further and further until you start arriving to planet earth.
And before your feet touch down on the ground,
Notice where you're choosing to go.
Notice where you're choosing to arrive.
What is the vegetation?
What is the landscape?
What are the colors?
What are the sights and the smells?
And there you are hovering just above the earth.
And then you gently touch down on the ground in this cocoon of light.
You make your way out of the cocoon and you notice where you are and you smile knowing that you are here 20 years into the future.
20 years into the best possible version of life and of earth.
You see a dwelling about 10 paces off and really take in this dwelling.
And as you approach the dwelling,
You realize this is where your future self lives.
You 20 years into the future,
You're in the best possible version of you.
So you do what you need to do to get your future self to come to the door.
And she opens the door and welcomes you as only your future self can.
Drink in the energy of your future self.
Notice what she looks like.
Notice what she's wearing.
Notice how she greets you.
Notice what her dwelling looks like.
Your future self has been waiting for you.
And she brings you over to a special place where she set up some food and drink for you to sit down and relax for a conversation with her.
Make your way over and find a seat.
And really taking in your future self's energy,
Her warmth,
Go ahead and sit down.
Have a little bite,
A little bit to drink as you settle in for a conversation with your future self.
So begin by asking your future self,
Future self,
What is it that I most need to remember to get from where I am today to where you are?
What do I most need to remember?
And go ahead and allow your future self to answer.
Now next,
Ask your future self,
What stands out most in her memory over the last 20 years?
What do you most remember about the last 20 years?
And your future self answers with a big smile on her face.
There may be a question that you wanna ask your future self,
Something that you've been yearning for some wisdom from.
Go ahead and ask your future self for some wisdom right now that you specifically need.
Go ahead and wrap up this conversation with your future self,
Thanking her so much for being with you today.
And you stand up and make your way over to the door.
But as you go over to the door,
You turn around and ask your future self one final question before you go.
Future self,
What is it that people call you?
It might be a nickname or a symbol of your essence.
What is it that I can call you?
And allow your future self to answer.
Again,
Thanking her for being with you today,
Knowing that you can visit anytime you want.
You make your way outside the dwelling,
Make your way over to that cocoon of light that will take you back into outer space.
And you settle into that cocoon of light and like a high speed elevator just,
It goes straight up into outer space.
And again,
You breathe in the luxury of being able to see things from this perspective,
Staring down at the blue green ball of planet earth below.
And then you see that blue light cocoon a couple of pieces off that will take you back to present day earth.
Make your way over to that cocoon and hop on in.
You begin your descent down to present day earth,
Flowing down,
Floating down effortlessly and easily all the way down further and further and further until you find yourself just above your dwelling where your present day self is.
And like magic,
You go through the ceiling and you end up landing gently in your present day body,
Knowing you will remember everything that you need to know and everything that you need to from this journey.
I'm going to count backwards from three to one.
And when I say one,
You are going to open your eyes and feel refreshed as if you'd have had the perfect amount of sleep.
Three,
Beginning to become more aware of your surroundings and your present day body.
Two,
Beginning to stretch a little bit,
Wiggling your fingers and your toes.
And one,
Eyes open,
Refreshed and alert.
Slowly make your way over to your journal to journal about your experience.
And as a reminder,
You want to notice what it was like being in outer space and that quiet and softness of space.
Noticing what color that beam of light and that cocoon of light was that took you down to your future self.
Journaling a bit about where you landed.
What was the landscape like?
Were you in the city?
Were you in the beach?
Were you in the desert?
Where were you?
And what was the dwelling like of your future self,
That best possible version of you?
Make some notes about that.
And of course,
Make some notes about your future self,
What she looked like,
What her energy was like.
Really allow yourself to write a bit about that.
And then you asked your future self what it is you most need to remember to get from where you are today to where she is.
What is it that you most need to remember?
And then you asked her what stood out most in her memory over the last 20 years.
And finally,
You asked her a specific question so that you could get her wisdom about a situation that's going on in your life these days.
And then finally,
What is her name?
What is the name of your future self?
Could be a nickname,
Whatever that name is,
A symbol of her essence.
Go ahead and make note of that.
And if you didn't get a name from her,
Make it up right now.

Take some time to journal.
