Resting the mind.

Take a slow breath in,

And gently let it go.

If your mind has been restless today,

You're not alone.

The mind is always searching,

Searching for somewhere to rest.

For thousands of years,

Ancient sages practiced a meditation that gently guides the mind toward a beautiful,

Divine presence within the heart.

In the next few minutes,

We'll enter that meditation together.

So,

Allow your body to relax,

Take another slow breath,

And let the journey begin.

Let the breath become natural.

Relax your shoulders.

Relax your face.

Allow the mind to slow down.

There is nothing you need to do right now.

Nothing to solve.

Nothing to achieve.

Just breathe.

Just be here.

Now gently bring your awareness inward.

Imagine within your chest there is a soft,

Luminous lotus.

Peaceful.

Still.

Radiant.

At the center of that lotus,

Sense the presence of the divine.

Serene.

Beautiful.

Eternal.

A sacred spiritual form seated peacefully within the heart.

Take a slow breath.

Allow your mind to become attentive and calm.

Now,

Begin the meditation at the lotus feet of the divine.

Soft.

Radiant.

Like newly blossomed lotus petals.

Rest your awareness there.

Imagine placing your thoughts at those sacred feet.

As if the wandering mind has finally found shelter.

If the mind wanders,

That is natural.

Simply bring it back again.

Back to the lotus feet.

Again and again.

This gentle returning is the meditation.

Now slowly allow your awareness to rise.

Notice the calves of the divine.

Graceful.

Effortless.

Perfectly formed.

Let the mind rest here,

Becoming steadier,

More grounded.

Now move upward to the thighs.

Strong.

Balanced.

Quietly powerful.

Feel the mind stabilizing,

Like a lake becoming still.

Now gently lift your awareness upward.

Notice the beautiful form standing with effortless grace.

Bring your attention to the chest.

A place of compassion.

A place where every soul is held in divine awareness.

As you breathe,

Imagine a soft warmth radiating from this space.

A reassurance.

You are held.

You are guided.

You are protected.

Rest here.

Now observe the four arms of the divine,

Each holding sacred symbols.

A lotus,

Symbol of purity and spiritual beauty.

A conch whose sacred sound awakens the heart.

A radiant disc,

Powerful,

Luminous.

And a club,

Representing strength and protection.

Feel their presence.

Calm.

Protective.

Compassionate.

Now slowly lift your awareness to the face of the divine.

Peaceful.

Beautiful.

Serene.

Notice the gentle eyes,

Soft like lotus petals.

Eyes filled with kindness,

Understanding,

And unconditional love.

Now observe the gentle smile.

A smile that removes fear.

A smile that dissolves anxiety.

A smile that brings quiet joy to the heart.

Rest here.

Just breathing.

Just remembering.

If the mind wanders,

Simply return.

Back to the feet.

Up through the form.

Back to the peaceful smile.

Each return strengthens the meditation.

Each remembrance brings clarity.

Gradually the mind becomes calm.

Steady.

Satisfied.

Take one slow,

Deep breath in.

And gently breathe out.

This ancient meditation gives the mind a sacred path.

Beginning at the lotus feet.

Moving slowly upward until the heart rests in the peaceful smile of the Lord within.

And as the mind rests there,

A natural peace begins to appear.

A peace that was always there,

Waiting.

Now slowly bring your awareness back.

Back to your body.

Back to the room around you.

Feel the surface beneath you.

Notice the sounds around you.

And when you are ready,

Gently,

Softly,

Open your eyes.
