This is a Meditate.
Io launch practice called Arriving.
Sometimes the practice of meditation is as simple as arriving wherever you are.
In this practice,
We're going to focus on arriving first in our environment and then arriving in our bodies.
So don't change how you're sitting or how you're being or how you're standing.
Just take a moment to notice where you are.
Open your eyes and take in your environment.
Open your ears and listen to the sounds of the space you're in.
Notice who and what is around you.
There's no need to change any of it.
We're just taking a moment to notice what's happening around us and to arrive in the space we're in.
So let yourself arrive here fully in your environment,
Noticing what's happening around you,
Letting it be,
Relaxing into the space,
Trusting that you'll be taken care of here.
There are no immediate dangers or threats,
So we can relax more fully,
Arrive more deeply into this moment.
Now,
If it's appropriate,
You may want to close your eyes.
If you're doing something that requires you to have your eyes open,
Continue to keep them open.
And from here,
Just notice your environment using your sense of sound,
Sense of hearing alone.
Hearing your environment without seeing it.
What is it like to hear where you are?
You may already notice that as you've closed your eyes,
You started to arrive a little bit more in your own experience,
Your own internal experience.
So we're going to continue going with that movement from arriving in their environment to arriving in our inner experience,
Into our bodies.
So now you can actually let go of noticing the sounds around you,
The sounds of your environment.
Start to settle your attention into your inner world,
Starting by arriving in your physical body.
The same way that we arrived in our environmental space,
We can arrive in our physical experience.
So let yourself start to arrive here now in your body,
Whatever that's like for you.
Notice what it's like to be in whatever posture you're in,
Whether you're sitting or standing or walking or inclined on a couch.
Just notice how it's like to be in this posture,
To arrive more fully into how your body is,
Letting yourself settle into this posture.
And then feeling any sensations in the body that grab your attention,
Arriving even with the unpleasant sensations of the body,
Making space for them arriving into the reality of our experience,
Not how we'd like it to be,
But how it is.
What do you notice in your body?
What does it feel like?
Inviting that in.
The body is a portal to awareness,
Allowing yourself to arrive here and now.
Just this experience,
However it is.
The body is a portal to awareness,
Allowing yourself to arrive here and now.
The body is a portal to awareness,
Allowing yourself to arrive here and now.
The body is a portal to awareness,
Allowing yourself to arrive here and now.
