Good morning and welcome to your daily meditation.
Thank you for making this time for yourself,
And make sure you thank yourself too.
Take a moment to get comfortable in your space,
Grabbing any pillows or blankets you may need,
Maybe an eye mask and some headphones if you don't have them in already,
And it can also be nice to keep a journal and something to write with nearby in case something comes up during the meditation.
Feel free to practice sitting or lying down,
Whatever is most comfortable for you.
Once you're settled,
Come into stillness,
Placing your palms either face down if you're looking to receive,
And now take three deep breaths,
Breathing into the nose and holding at the top of the inhale,
And then releasing with a sigh,
And again taking a deep inhale,
Holding at the top,
And when you exhale,
Releasing anything that may have happened yesterday,
Last night,
Or anything that may happen later on today,
And now one final deep inhale,
Your deepest inhale of the day so far,
Holding at the top,
And now exhale with a sigh and shake out your hands,
Wiggle your feet,
Getting any tension out of the body before coming back to stillness.
Begin to notice the feeling of your body against the surface beneath you,
Feeling the temperature of the air on your face,
And noticing any background noises,
Observing the way that it feels for the air to go in and out of your nose as you breathe naturally,
And now I invite you to bring your focus to your heart space.
You can choose to focus on your actual heart,
Or you can choose to focus on your heart chakra in the middle of your chest,
Which is represented by a green light.
I'd like you to imagine that you are breathing in and out of your heart space.
Compassion for ourself and others,
Emotional balance,
And of course love,
Are all governed by our heart.
As you breathe in and out of your heart,
What do you notice?
Do you feel light and free?
Is it easy for you to have compassion and love for yourself and others?
Are your emotions more even keel?
Or is it challenging for you to give and or receive love?
Do you struggle to have compassion for yourself and others?
Do your emotions feel more like a roller coaster throughout the day?
There is no wrong answer,
And there is no need to judge yourself.
Just allowing whatever is there to be there,
Allowing the answers to move through you.
And finally asking yourself,
Do I make most decisions from a place of fear or from a place of love?
Again,
Allowing whatever answers,
Messages,
Memories,
Visualizations,
Sensations to come through.
And whenever your mind wanders,
Come back to the sensation of the air going in and out of your nose.
And once you've allowed and felt into whatever wants to come through,
I invite you to make a vow to yourself to choose love today.
Knowing that you can start over as many times as you need to.
And now at the start of the day,
When you're first waking up is the perfect time to set the tone to make the choice to take your power back,
Not only by choosing love,
But also by leaning into the energy of appreciation.
And as we come to a close,
Bring to mind one thing or one person that evokes a feeling of appreciation and another that evokes a feeling of unconditional love.
And just allow yourself to marinate first in the appreciation and then in the love.
Taking as much time as you need to with each emotion.
And if anything else comes up during this process,
Allowing that to be there too,
Knowing that there is no wrong way to practice,
No wrong way to feel.
Making space for all of it,
Making space for your humanness.
You're welcome to pause here and continue feeling into one or both of these emotions and come back when you're ready.
But if you feel complete,
You can slowly start to come back into the room,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Feeling the surface beneath you,
The air around you,
And the texture of the clothes on your skin.
And know that you are bringing these high vibration emotions with you into the rest of your day,
Setting the tone,
Taking your power back and staying in the present moment.
