Welcome to your yoga nidra.
The practice of yogic sleep.
As we begin our practice.
Allow yourself to find a comfortable,
Reclined position.
Somewhere that you can feel relaxed.
Perhaps you bring something underneath the knees.
Perhaps a blanket over the body.
The mulawa stretch.
Through the whole body to help you find stillness.
Perhaps contracting every muscle and then allowing for release.
Wherever you are.
Allow yourself to take up space as you begin to settle in fully.
As we move through this practice.
Try not to move.
As the movement of your body will pull your mind out of this nidra.
Take a deep breath in.
Let it go.
Deep breath in.
Let it go.
Deep breath in.
Let it go.
Do you find your relaxation?
Observing the space around you.
Perhaps bringing your awareness to the furthest sound.
Observing without judgment.
And moving your awareness to rest on anything you may feel comfortable.
Perhaps noticing the sensation of your body on the earth.
And close on your skin.
And temperature of the air.
Observing without judgement.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Allowing your awareness to begin to retreat from the physical space.
Breath in.
Exhale,
Retreat.
Breath in Exhale,
Retreat.
Rather.
Retreat.
Breath in retreat.
Allowing an intention to surface,
Your mind.
Allow yourself to repeat this to yourself three times more.
Allow your awareness now to rest.
Your left toes.
Shifting inward as you exhale.
Left foot.
Left heel.
Left ankle.
Left calf.
Left knee.
Left thigh loved him.
Right toes right foot.
Right heel.
Right ankle right calf.
Right knee.
May it die.
Right hip.
The exhales help you retreat The awareness shifts towards your belly.
Your back and chest your right shoulder.
My bicep.
Right elbow.
Right forearm.
Might rest.
Breathe in.
Right fingers.
Your left fingers your left hand.
Left wrist.
Lift forearms.
Left elbow.
Left bicep left shoulder.
Your neck and throat.
Exhales to retreat Awareness moving to your jaw knowing for softness,
Your cheeks your ears.
Back of your head.
Eyes.
The crown of your head.
Your whole front body.
And whole back body.
Your whole body.
Exhales,
Shifting inward.
Be with your breath.
Perhaps observing if somewhere in your body feels warmer than the rest.
Observing the coolness.
Noticing where you may feel heavy.
And where you may feel light Noticing any softness.
Or any pain.
Just observing here.
Without judgement.
Be here.
With your breath.
Your intention.
You find yourself.
A clearing.
Under a cloudless night sky.
The moon is bright.
Illuminating everything in a silver,
Glistening hue.
In front of you there is a path in the forest.
And you begin to walk down it.
Amongst the trees,
The moonlight peeks through.
Creating pockets of light.
You find yourself pausing in your walk.
In an illuminated circle on the earth.
Stepping fully to the silver.
Notice where your feet touch the silver-lit earth.
Observing the sensations noticing the earth beneath your feet.
To your right,
You find a swirling pool.
Illuminated with silver swirls.
Inviting you in.
As you begin to step into the pool,
You notice the warmth of the water welcoming you even more.
Noticing a soft,
Warm,
Silver water Helping you release anything that no longer serves you.
Soon you begin to step out of the pool in the warm,
Soft breeze of the night air.
Dries your skin.
And you walk back the way you came.
Towards the clearing where you started.
Laying on the earth beneath the moonlight.
Connecting you with the vastness.
Of the universe.
Coming back to your intentions.
Remembering your breath.
Over a deeper breath.
Allowing your awareness to return to your physical body coming back to this space.
This moment.
Bringing gentle movements onto your fingers and toes.
And learn these movements to grow and when you're ready.
Make your way into your right side.
Thanking yourself for the effort,
The presence of your practice.
Know yourself to go on this journey.
Allowing for presence.
Your intention.
Using your hands,
Pushing up to a comfortable seat Allowing the hands to come to heart center.
With the end of this practice,
We will dedicate our efforts to all beings.
Thumb knuckles find your third eye center between the eyebrows May you be beer and mind and body and spirit.
With extraordinary gratitude for our practice.
And all beings.
We bow forward and say Namaste.
