Grounding safety from anxiety to a rooted calm.

Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position.

You may choose to sit with your feet on the floor or lie down and be fully supported.

Let your hands gently rest on your lap or by your sides.

If it feels safe,

Softly close your eyes or allow your gaze to soften.

There's nowhere else you need to be right now.

There's nothing you need to do.

This time is yours.

Pause here.

Now let's bring your attention to your natural breath.

Notice the inhale,

The exhale.

No need to change it.

Just observe.

Feel the air moving in and moving out.

Noticing the gentle rhythm that connects you to this moment.

With every inhale,

Imagine drawing in calm and clarity.

With every exhale,

Let go of tension,

Worry,

Or overwhelm.

Take another slow,

Deep breath in and a long,

Soft exhale,

Pausing here.

Now bring your awareness to the points where your body meets the surface beneath you.

Your feet,

Your legs,

Your hips,

Your back.

Feel the weight of your body being fully supported.

Notice how the floor or the chair carries you.

You are held and you are safe.

Slowly scan your body from feet to head.

Notice your legs,

Your torso,

Shoulders,

Arms,

Your hands,

Your neck,

Your jaw,

And your face.

Now wherever you notice tension,

Simply acknowledge it.

Invite it to soften and to release and melt into the support beneath you.

Take a deep breath in and let your exhale release any effort of holding and pause here.

Now imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet or the base of your spine.

Imagine them moving downward,

Slowly,

Steady,

Strong.

These roots travel through the floor,

Through the foundation beneath you,

Through soil and stone,

Deep into the earth.

With every inhale,

Feel your roots growing deeper,

Anchoring you.

With every exhale,

Imagine anxiety,

Tension,

And overwhelm flowing down through the roots,

Released and transformed by the earth's steady energy.

Feel the earth's energy rising up through your roots,

Slowly moving into your legs,

Your torso,

Your chest,

Filling your whole body with calm,

Support,

And stability.

Now,

Silently or out loud,

Repeat after me,

I am safe,

I am supported,

I am grounded.

Pause to let the words sink in.

Now bring awareness to any heavy or stagnant energy in your body.

Notice any areas that feel tight,

Tense,

Or burdened.

On your next inhale,

Imagine drawing in bright,

Cleansing light,

A soft,

Warm glow that fills your body with clarity and calm.

On the exhale,

Release heaviness,

Fear,

Or worry.

Imagine it flowing out of your body and dissolving into the air,

Leaving you feeling lighter with each breath.

You may picture a gentle wind,

Soft sunlight,

Or a warm mist moving over you,

Clearing any stuck energy.

Say quietly to yourself,

I release what I no longer need.

I am light,

Calm,

And at ease.

Allow the breath to move this energy naturally.

You are giving yourself permission to let go and pause here.

Now bring to mind a place where you feel completely safe.

It may be a real place that you know or one that your imagination creates.

Notice the colors,

The textures,

The light,

And the sounds.

The subtle details that make this place feel protective and serene.

Feel yourself fully supported here.

Notice how your body begins to soften,

Your mind settles,

Your heart eases.

Breathe in the safety.

Breathe out the last remnants of anxiety.

This safe space exists within you,

And you can return to it at any time that you need calm.

And let's pause here to feel that fully.

Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the surface beneath you.

The room around you,

The weight of your body in this moment.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes and softly begin to stretch where it feels good.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Return to the full present moment,

Knowing that you can carry this calm with you.

Take a final deep breath in and exhale slowly.

Silently or aloud,

Repeat after me.

You are safe.

You are supported.

You are home.

Let's pause,

Letting these words settle into your body and mind.

Take a moment to notice the steadiness,

The grounded calm,

And the sense of welcome you carry within you.

You may return to this meditation any time you need to feel safe,

Supported,

And rooted.

Coming to a close here,

Remember you are safe.

You are supported.

Welcome home.
