Settle into a comfortable position,
Close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a slow breath in and a long breath out.
Notice your body,
Your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your belly.
If you've been carrying the weight of others,
Their emotions,
Expectations or worries,
Acknowledge that gently.
You don't need to analyze it,
Just notice.
With your next inhale,
Bring awareness to your center.
With your exhale,
Imagine releasing anything that doesn't belong to you.
You can silently say,
This is not mine to carry.
Inhale coming back to yourself,
Exhale letting go.
Feel your body become lighter,
More contained,
More grounded.
You are allowed to care without carrying everything.
Take one more slow breath and when you're ready,
Return to the present moment.
