Dear God,

As I come to you today,

I ask for your powerful protection.

So much in this world seems uncertain and turbulent.

Dangers lurk in places both seen and unseen.

While troubles multiply on every side,

I feel the need for your guardian care now more than ever.

Shield me from every lurking threat,

Every worry or fear that tries to penetrate my mind and steal my peace.

Place your hedge of angels around my home,

My loved ones,

My interests and plans.

Keep harm and sickness far from my doors.

Preserve me by your mighty strength as I go about each day.

Even in areas I cannot see,

Watch over me.

Where I feel most vulnerable,

Let your defense be strongest.

Give me discernment to avoid risky situations and people with ill intent.

When bad choices could be made in weakness,

Guide me to safety and on the right paths.

Deliver me from entanglements with influences not of your spirit.

Let forethought and wisdom far surpass any temptation to stray.

Come stand as my mighty warrior,

Routing all powers that would conspire against my well-being.

Let me wear your impenetrable armor wherever I go.

Shatter schemes the enemy would set against me and leave his works in ruins.

Reveal and counteract snares before I even know they were laid.

Keep division,

Deception and harm far from finding entry in my life.

Thank you that no weapon formed against me can ever stand when you,

God,

Take up my case.

I will not live in fear of people,

Plans or events because you have the whole world in your capable hands.

With you by my side as my constant shield and rock,

What reason do I have to doubt or worry?

I place absolute trust in your perfect protection.

I pray this all with thankfulness for your faithfulness to guard me.

I rest assured of your care into the future as well.

My confidence is in you alone.
