This is an exercise to help you connect with the wisdom of your future self.
Allow yourself to get comfortable,
Relaxed yet attentive.
Notice to yourself the position your body is in right now,
Such as sitting,
Standing,
Lying down.
In this exercise,
We are aiming for wakefulness and connectedness.
Become aware of your breath.
Take one or two conscious rounds of inhales and exhales.
Allow your thoughts to quiet down and settle on their own.
Much like ripples on a pond eventually fade away.
Now that you have established a sense of calm,
Begin to imagine yourself a few years in the future.
Take note of how far in the future you are envisioning.
Imagine this future self looking at you and smiling with kind eyes.
It is proud and caring of who you are right now and of who you will become.
Who is your future self?
How is your future self acting in the world?
What is most important to it?
Who else is around?
Imagine your future self has a message for you.
What would it like you to know?
