Hey guys,
Welcome back for another guided meditation.
Today we're going to be exploring the breath.
We're going to go a little bit deeper.
We're going to explore the beauty,
The richness and the depth of the breath.
So as always,
Start to find your comfortable seat.
You know by now you cannot get it wrong.
So for some of us that means sitting in full lotus with our spine straight,
For others it's going to mean getting four or five pillows,
Getting cozy on the couch,
Wrapped up in a blanket.
No,
There's no right or wrong.
Just whatever you need to do to be able to sit in this stillness.
In this space.
Start to watch the air.
Moving past your nose.
Feel it gather in your belly.
And then watch yourself,
Let it all go.
We understand on the surface how incredible our breath is but let's start to move a little bit deeper.
As you next breathe in,
Start to notice some of the different properties of the air.
Notice if it has any weight.
You can feel how heavy it is moving from outside to in.
Just be aware if it's any different moving inside to out.
Maybe in your mind's eye,
You can see the air.
See it moving from the space around you down into your lungs.
Feel your body taking what it needs and letting the rest go.
That loving awareness continues to focus more and more on the breath.
We start to see if we go far enough back,
If we go smaller and smaller and smaller,
We find a place where ourselves and the air around us are the same.
And a whole new awareness starts to come to you.
That you are just matter breathing in matter.
You are the universe,
Breathing in the universe.
With every breath,
You experience yourself.
You experience yourself.
This awareness.
Even though it begins in your meditation practice,
Eventually it gets into the rest of your life.
Those moments arise when you're walking down the street,
A little bit of understanding comes back to you that you are the universe,
Breathing in the universe.
This is what I offer for you to take with you.
Stay in this stillness as long as you need.
When you are ready to move off into the rest of your day,
Start by bowing your head.
Gently,
With all the love and compassion you have,
Start to blink open your eyes and let the outside world back in.
Thank you so much for joining me.
I can't wait to see you next time.
Much love everyone.
Goodbye.
