Welcome,
Darling.
This meditation is your reminder and your proof that you already know what you need.
You don't have to force it,
Fix it,
Or figure it all out.
It's already within you.
Find a comfortable place to rest,
Maybe seated with your feet grounded or lying back,
Letting your body be fully supported.
Take a slow,
Easy breath in through your nose,
And a gentle exhale out through the mouth.
Let your shoulders drop and your jaw unclench,
And let yourself arrive right here.
Let's begin with a collective breath,
Not a coached rhythm or a perfect count,
Just your own natural flow,
Whatever feels right in this moment.
As you inhale,
Remember you are breathing in molecules your ancestors once breathed,
The same air,
The same life moving through all of us.
It's a reminder of the oneness we share.
We tend to hold our breath in hard times as if pausing will protect us,
But your breath wants to move like the ocean's tide rolling in and flowing back out.
No tension,
No forcing,
Just flow.
You know,
I used to struggle with breath in yoga classes or guided meditations.
When someone would say,
Inhale for four,
Exhale for six,
My mind would start racing,
Trying to keep up,
Trying to do it perfectly,
But instead of peace,
I felt pressure.
Until one day,
Sitting quietly in my car,
I took the deepest,
Most honest breath I'd ever taken,
And in that moment,
I realized my body already knew how to breathe.
It didn't need a rule,
It just needed me to listen.
So let's help you breathe better,
Not by controlling it,
But by being with yourself,
By trusting your body's own wisdom.
Take a slow breath in,
And a soft breath out.
Notice how your body moves with each one,
Your chest rising,
Your belly expanding,
Your shoulders releasing.
Let your breath clear your mind.
With every inhale,
Bring in light and clarity,
And with every exhale,
Let go of the clutter,
The stories,
The doubts,
And the noise.
Your body knows,
Darling,
Don't let your mind fool you.
The breath is your truth teller.
It never rushes you,
Never judges you,
It simply reminds you,
I've got you.
Now gently place a hand over your heart,
Feel the rhythm beneath your palm,
Steady,
Alive,
Always guiding you home.
Repeat softly to yourself,
I already know what I need.
I've got you.
My body remembers the way.
Take one last deep,
Honest breath in,
And let it fall out naturally,
And as you move through your day,
Remember this,
You don't have to force what already flows.
Your breath knows,
Your body knows,
You already know what you need.
