Hi,
Welcome.
What brought you here today?
Did you wake up with your mind already racing?
Maybe your eyes opened and before your feet even touched the floor,
The thoughts started coming in.
What do I need to do today?
What did I forget?
What needs my attention?
Maybe there isn't even a particular thought attached to it.
You just feel on.
This can happen alongside that natural rise in cortisol your body experiences in the morning.
Cortisol naturally rises as you wait.
Helping your body prepare for the day ahead.
But sometimes though,
That rise can feel like a rush of energy before you're ready for it.
So rather than fighting it.
.
.
We're going to meet that energy with a little more ease.
Your heart maybe beating a little faster.
Your stomach feel unsettled?
Your body tense or restless Like the day has already started running before you've even had a chance to catch up.
And if that brought you here this morning,
Stay with me for the next few moments we're simply going to give your mind and body a little space to soften into the morning If you can find a quiet space with a little natural light.
.
.
Maybe near a window or somewhere the morning light can softly touch your skin.
And as you settle in,
Allow your face to soften.
Unclench your jaw.
Relax the space between your eyebrows.
Let your shoulders fall away from your ears.
You can soften your gaze or close your eyes.
Now take a deep breath in through the nose.
And release it with a long,
Slow sigh.
Again and again.
Deep breath in letting the breath travel all the way down filling into your belly release it with a long slow sigh Hmm.
.
.
Notice what happens when you meet the warning this way.
Before rushing to what's next.
Give your body a chance to arrive here first.
Feel the warmth of the light on your skin.
The rhythm of your breath.
And remind yourself.
I can enter this day slowly.
I don't have to begin my morning in a rush.
Remember each breath is a reset.
With every exhale,
Allow a little more tension to release.
Tracing thoughts to quiet.
And your body to sink a little deeper into relaxation.
Now bring awareness to your heart space.
Maybe bringing one hand or both.
To the heart.
Feel that connection with yourself.
Grounded within.
Take another slow breath in.
And exhale to release.
Feel yourself settling into it.
Breathing in.
Creating space.
Breathing out.
Letting go.
And as you stay connected to your breath Let these words settle in.
Morning is the beginning.
Salt.
Opening into all that lies ahead.
.
.
Let your first breath be gentle,
Your first thoughts be kind and your first moments belong to you Take one more breath here.
Breathing in the morning before you step into it.
Let this be how you begin.
Not perfectly.
Just a little softer,
A little more grounded.
A little more connected to yourself.
And as you move into the day ahead.
Remember.
The morning is yours to meet.
And each breath.
Is another chance to begin.
