When you experience the FIGHT response, your energy is hot, activated, and pushing outward. Your jaw may be tight, your chest or shoulders braced, and your thoughts may feel sharp, reactive, or defensive. Your nervous system is preparing to protect you by meeting force with force. To heal this, we don’t try to suppress the intensity or judge the reaction - we soften and soothe it. When you connect with Water energy - cooling, flowing, and gentle - you begin sending a different signal to your body. Water teaches the nervous system that it doesn’t need to stay rigid to stay safe. Through softness, tears, breath, and compassionate awareness, the body begins to release the tension it has been holding. Soothing is the first step in regulating the fight response. It’s the “you can soften now” message your body has been needing to hear.
