Let's get ready for a great day today.
You're going to be so productive and so engaging it will not go unnoticed.
Find a comfortable place,
Somewhere where you won't be disturbed for a little bit.
And let's just focus in on the breath.
Breathe deeply into the nose and hold your breath for a second and then breathe out through your mouth.
Let's not think about work,
What we need to do today just yet.
Let's just focus in on that breath and when you find yourself wandering to what you need to do just say begin again and then in your mind breathe in,
Breathe out.
Allow the words breathe in,
Breathe out,
Clear the mind of everything else that you're thinking of.
So again in through the nose,
Hold and then out through the mouth.
Wherever you find yourself sitting just sit tall like there's a string pulling from the top of your head.
Pinch your shoulders back sit up straight and then breathe.
I want you to think about the biggest problem that you need to work on today.
What is that big problem that's been bothering everybody at work?
Everyone in your department?
What do you need to fix?
What do you need to solve?
Just like all those thoughts in your head when you're just trying to focus on the breath it's going to be easy for your mind to wander.
So visualize all those different problems that are in front of you and what's the one thing out of all those problems that you need to pick out?
That one thing.
That's it.
What is the one thing that you can do today to make progress on solving it?
It might be a big audacious problem.
Not easy to solve but you can make progress today.
What is that one thing that you can do and who can help you make progress?
Just think about who can help you and how you can ask for help if you need it.
As you find yourself becoming overwhelmed,
Anxious or frustrated come back to this one thing that you need to do today to make progress.
Refocus your attention on that and if you still feel overwhelmed find that person who can help you and ask for help.
Coming back to the office can be very overwhelming,
Frustrating with all the different conversations that you will have with people today and balancing that out with your workload.
So making those conversations purposeful,
Helping you to achieve goals at least for some of those conversations will help balance out your day.
So let's focus again one more time back on that breath.
Breathe in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Remember the one thing that you need to do today to make progress and who and what you can ask for help on.
And breathe in and out.
Pull that string on the top of your head,
Put those shoulders back,
Sit tall,
You are a boss and you got this today.
Go get them.
