
Eckhart Tolle Inner Body Meditation From "The Power Of Now"

Then, you'll track the wave of energy up and down the body. Hey,
It's Cyrus.
Welcome to this super powerful inner body meditation adapted from The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.
This session is best done sitting upright in a chair with good posture,
So go ahead and find that position now and close your eyes when you feel ready.
Take a deep,
Slow breath into your whole body.
Hold it.
Feel your body head to toe for a moment as you hold your breath.
And slowly release it out through the mouth.
Let's do one more like that,
But make it even slower and deeper as you breathe really slowly and deeply in,
Filling up the whole body like a balloon,
Holding at the top,
Feeling your body head to toe as you hold the breath.
And slowly releasing out through the mouth.
If you want to get the most out of this session,
Decide that from this moment on you're going to be as physically still as you can.
Of course letting your stomach and chest rise and fall naturally with the breath,
But otherwise maintaining the most consistent physical stillness that you can manage.
And simply begin by bringing your mental spotlight of attention to your hands and fingers.
Notice the subtle buzzing,
Tingling sensation in the hands and fingers.
Let thoughts and distractions be in the background,
But keep the main spotlight of attention front and center on your hands and fingers.
Go deeper into your hands and fingers with your attention,
Almost like you're becoming them with your whole focus.
And expand your attention into your arms now,
Feeling your arms and hands at the same time.
Notice the superhighway of energy flowing up and down the arms and hands in this moment as you pay close attention,
Feeling them.
Notice how the longer you keep your full focus on your arms and hands,
The stronger that quiet vibration energy becomes.
And let go of your arms and hands now and drop your attention down into your feet.
Just feel your feet.
Notice the contours of the energy filling up the architecture of the space within your feet.
Go deeper into the details of the energy in the feet.
And slowly,
Steadily rise up with the awareness to feel the legs and the feet at the same time.
Notice the blood pumping in the legs and feet and the subtle pulsation of energy.
Become the legs and feet for a moment,
Like you're absorbing your attention within them fully.
And just like that,
Let go of them and rise your attention up into the belly area.
Expand the bloom of attention like a flower so that it fills your entire lower torso area,
Feeling all the way around your belly and your back.
Dive into the energy of the lower torso,
Becoming one with it.
And let that fade as you rise up into the chest and heart area,
Feeling the upper torso now.
Touch with your direct attention like a flashlight into the deepest layers of energy within your heart and your upper torso.
And allow the energy to evaporate from the heart now and rise up into the neck and head.
Start to notice all the particular sensations of life energy in the neck and head occurring in this moment.
Don't think about it,
Simply feel and absorb deeper into the neck and head energy.
And rest your attention on the top of the head and slowly begin to scan down the body,
Feeling from the head to the neck,
Through the arms and upper torso,
Down into the lower torso,
Through the pelvic floor and upper legs,
Down into the lower legs,
Washing into the feet and toes.
And reverse back up now from the toes into the feet and the lower legs,
Up into the upper legs,
The pelvic floor and the lower torso,
The arms and upper torso,
All the way through to the neck and the head,
Back to the crown.
And a couple more times now,
Slowly,
Methodically track from the top of the head down to the base of the body for the next few seconds.
And slowly,
Carefully track back up from the feet all the way up to the top of the head for the next few seconds.
Once more,
Finding your rhythm like a smooth wave,
Roll the attention from the top of the head down to the base of the body for a moment.
And smoothly let it roll back up from the base up to the top of the head,
Connected to that wave of energy.
And now,
Without missing a beat with your instincts,
Just feel the whole body head to toe as one single unit of energy.
Expand and feel every crevice,
Every portion of that inner connected energy field.
Continue to flood the inner body with even more attention,
Enlivening it and raising its frequency as you absorb more and more attention,
Head to toe,
In this moment.
You might notice the glow and the luminosity of that energy field,
But don't get lost in the images,
Simply focus on the feeling,
The direct connection to that alive,
Vibrating energy.
If it feels right,
Allow yourself to become even more intensely absorbed in that inner energy field,
Staying relaxed but intensely focused and aware of that field.
And if it feels right,
Let go of being the observer of that field and simply merge with it,
Become that field of energy with your whole attention,
Simply by feeling and absorbing your entire attention into that energy now.
Feel that timeless,
Formless energy that lies at the source of your existence,
Absorbing in that raw aliveness completely for another blissful moment.
And if it feels safe,
You might also sense how that energy field is connected seamlessly to all energy and space around you,
Allowing yourself to merge with that infinite space and energy in this moment with pure awareness.
And you might choose to simmer and rest in this healing,
Recharging space you've created for longer,
But when you feel ready,
You might open your eyes and simply look around as if you're seeing things for the first time,
Still connected to your inner energy field as you look and purposely not labeling anything,
Just looking with an openness and awe.
And you might choose to set an intention now to stay connected to an inner body awareness throughout the rest of your day,
Simply by keeping some of your attention on sensing and feeling that inner energy field,
Even as you do activities or work or interact with someone or simply sit there and have a peaceful moment.
You can just enjoy the feeling of being connected to that inner energy field as a powerfully transformative practice that will allow you to stay automatically more and more present throughout your day.
I encourage you to practice this meditation on a regular basis until you get the hang of it.
