In this episode,
You asked us to speak about Moses in the view of Islam.
In Islam,
Moses,
Known as Musa,
Is one of the greatest prophets.
Like all the prophets,
He spread the same message of one true God and leading a life of upright character.
Before prophethood,
Musa was born into an Israelite family in Egypt during a year when the Pharaoh called for the murder of all boys born to the Israelites.
His mother was inspired by the Almighty God to place him in a basket in the Nile River.
Childless wife of Pharaoh,
Asiyah found him and convinced Pharaoh to adopt him.
As an adult,
He accidentally struck a man and killed him.
He fled Egypt and got married.
On his way back to Egypt with his family,
Moses saw a fire on Mount Tir.
God spoke to Moses on the mountain and informed him that he was chosen to be a prophet.
Allah commanded Moses to return to Egypt to call Pharaoh to worship Allah and free the Israelites.
Moses asked Allah to make his brother Aaron a prophet so that he may assist him.
Allah gave Moses two miracles.
His stick could transform into a snake and his right hand shined with light after he placed it in his pocket.
These miracles of Allah were used to were used to convince people to worship only one God.
The similarities between Moses and Muhammad.
Peace be upon them.
They were both orphans.
They exiled from the homeland.
They returned to homeland to preach Allah's message.
They spoke to Allah directly.
They worked as shepherds.
They were lawgivers.
They led people secretly in mass exodus.
They were given the scripture and they fought oppression.
And they fought oppression.
