This 10 minute guided meditation has been created to allow you a few minutes of love and healing,
It will wrap you in a blanket of kindness and love,
Allowing you to accept comfort and safety.
You may do this whenever you have the time or before sleep.
We will end the practice with a short chime.
First,
Ensure that you will not be disturbed for this time and take a moment to sit or lay down.
Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.
Allow yourself to breathe naturally,
Without stress.
Now,
Just notice any tension that you may be holding in your body,
From the head and neck downward.
If you are tense,
Just kindly say,
Either aloud or in your mind,
I give you permission to relax and rest.
Imagine that tension is slowly flowing away,
Downward,
Out of your body,
Down into the earth.
Now,
Just imagine a blanket,
It is made of the most beautifully soft material and its colours are those that you love.
Gently,
This blanket is draped over you.
As it touches you,
You feel that it has been woven of the deepest and most unconditional love.
You can feel that love flowing into you,
It touches your skin,
Then softly melts into every part of you.
Whatever your thoughts or feelings,
This blanket embraces them,
And all of you.
Offering comfort,
Its soft warmth penetrates every single part of you.
Allow yourself to receive it.
There may be parts of you,
Body or mind,
That need this more than others,
So say to yourself aloud or in your mind,
I allow myself to receive unconditional love.
Feel the touch of the blanket around you.
You may begin to feel different,
And deeper areas of warmth,
As its love is directed to those places where it is most needed.
You feel completely safe and relaxed.
Allow yourself to absorb this sense of love,
Healing and safety.
Now,
Feel the blanket gradually dissolve,
But know that it is always there for you,
When you need it.
It is attuned to you,
To your personal requirements,
And will give you the love,
Comfort and healing you deserve.
Come back to your breathing now,
Then to the sense of your body in the chair,
In the bed,
Wherever you are.
Slowly open your eyes,
Knowing that you have given yourself a time of rest and healing.
