Welcome back to the Healing House Sessions.
This is Latavia Jo.
Today's meditation is for your nervous system.
Let's begin.
Take a slow breath in and let it go gently.
There's nothing you need to fix right now,
Nothing you need to solve.
For the next few minutes,
Your only job is to be right here.
Start to allow your body to soften where it can.
Notice where you are holding any tension,
Maybe in your jaw,
Your shoulders,
Your eyebrows,
Your glutes.
You're not trying to change or fix anything.
Notice.
Take a slow inhale through your nose.
Hold it and exhale out.
Again,
Inhale,
Hold.
Longer inhales and exhales tell your nervous system you are safe.
If your mind is racing,
That's ok,
Your brain is only trying to protect you.
Simply say to yourself,
I can slow down,
I am safe.
Imagine that your body is starting to shift from survival mode into steadiness.
You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to take up space without performing.
Allow your eyes to sink into their sockets and maybe your shoulders drop 5 degrees more.
Take one more slow inhale in and a long exhale out.
When you're ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Bringing some small sensations back into your system.
You are not behind.
You are not failing.
There is nothing wrong with you.
Your system only needed a moment and now you can begin again.
