Welcome!
This is going to be a medium-length meditation and as usual we'll spend some time coming out of the meditation in order to make a mindful transition back to what we usually think of as the real world.
So let's get started.
Relax.
Relax.
Get comfortable.
Take a deep breath in your eyes and take another deep breath out.
Now a comfortable breath.
Relax.
Relax.
Things will come to you.
Ideas.
Memories.
Let them come and then they'll go.
Let them go and they will go.
You see them come and you see them go.
And they come and they go.
They're like waves.
Don't try to stop them.
Just for now.
Don't try to stop them or guide them or redirect them in any way.
Notice that these things that come to you,
These memories,
These ideas,
These sensations,
These feelings,
They come into this beautiful,
Wonderful.
This is the real you.
Stay here.
Observe what you're hearing and what you're feeling and what you're sensing and observe the effortlessness with which everything is happening.
But you,
Perfect,
Warm,
All these things appear.
Stay.
Stay here.
This is the real you.
Things come.
Let them come.
Welcome them.
Let them go.
Just sit back.
This warm and comfortable background.
This is the real you.
Just be a wonderful ocean of awareness.
Whatever arises,
Sensations,
Thinking,
Waves of distraction.
Just let them go.
Relax.
Beautiful space.
This space that encloses everything.
These things that come and go.
You are the clear awareness that witnesses them.
They come.
They come.
Now feel this beautiful,
Open,
Wonderful background.
Observe that it's personal and recognize that you are not these things that come and go.
But instead,
This perfect,
Open,
Stay here for a moment.
Just repose in being yourself and know that this is your true center.
This pure,
Just for now,
Stay here.
Notice how these things come and go.
You'll notice that they just dissolve into this background.
This background of who you truly are,
Just for now.
Simply allow yourself to be what you truly are,
Just for now.
Now change your focus from inward to outward.
Begin to feel your body again.
Hear sounds from the outside.
Maybe rub your hands together.
Gently rub your eyes.
Look around.
Acknowledge others who may be there.
Just sit gently for a moment.
Express your gratitude for being here and for being able to meditate together.
Decide if you want to get back to the rest of life or if you want to stay here in meditation for a while.
It's your decision.
But make that decision.
I'm going to leave for now,
But I hope to be with you again sometime in the not too distant future.
I'll look forward to that.
Bye for now.
