Hi,

Welcome.

This is going to be a medium-length meditation,

And I'm going to call this one Peaceful Radiance.

Before we get started,

Let me note,

As I frequently do here,

That we're going to spend a little time coming out of the meditation.

I think this is one part of meditation that is all too frequently overlooked,

The need to come out of meditation in a thoughtful and mindful way.

Doing so helps us absorb the full benefits of the practice and helps empower us to take the peace,

Joy,

Knowledge that we've learned back into the rest of our lives.

So,

Let's get started.

Take a deep breath.

Slowly inhale and slowly exhale.

Another deep breath in and out.

And now a comfortable breath,

Maybe three-quarters.

In and out.

Another in and exhale.

Relax.

Relax.

Close your eyes.

Get comfortable.

Relax.

Notice the sounds,

The sensations,

The feelings.

They'll come to you.

Just let them go.

Just for now.

Relax.

Relax into this moment.

This moment that is here right now.

Be present in this moment.

This moment.

Whatever is meeting you here,

Be here right now in this moment.

Relax.

Relax.

Free from thinking,

From concepts,

From memories.

Inside is silence.

Welcome this silence.

It is perfect.

It is peaceful.

It is beautiful.

It is radiant.

It is home.

When things come to you,

Just let them go.

Just for this moment.

And return to silence.

When you are here with the silence,

The silence is obvious.

It is beautiful.

It is radiant.

More things will come to you.

Let them go.

Don't let ideas,

Feelings,

Memories carry you away with them.

Point your attention back to the silence.

When thoughts occur,

Welcome them.

Don't challenge them.

Just let them come and let them go.

They will disappear on their own.

Back into the silence.

This perfect silence is radiant.

Just for the moment.

Be fully present here.

And notice the things that come and go.

Just for the moment.

The images,

The memories,

Your inner voice commenting on things.

Just let it go.

Just for the moment.

Just be present here with this beautiful interior perfect silence.

Whatever comes to you will naturally unravel and collapse back into this perfect welcoming silence.

Just watch.

There's nothing to be done.

Just be.

Whatever comes to you,

It will go.

Whatever ideas and feelings and memories come,

Offer them back to the silence.

Just let them go.

This silence,

This perfect radiant silence that naturally surrounds everything.

It is untouched,

Unaffected.

It is simply aware and alert.

This silence is an answer.

Point your attention to the silence.

All these images and voices will disappear.

They try to veil the silence,

But they will dissolve back into it.

Allow your experience to include everything and allow that silence to include everything.

Be generous.

Everywhere.

Generous space in all directions.

Perfect.

Ever-present.

Silence.

No effort here.

No trying to hold on or remember.

Let it all go.

Offer it back to the silence.

Every veil that distracts you from this beautiful silence will disappear.

Point your attention back to the silence.

It's always here.

It's always beautiful.

It's always radiant.

It's always welcoming.

Know this and relax.

Take another deep breath and exhale.

Another deep breath and exhale.

And now a shallow breath and exhale.

Relax.

Now change your focus from inside to outside.

Maybe move a little.

Move your arms or shoulders.

Open your eyes and look around.

Greet others if they're there.

Express your gratitude for their presence and for the teaching.

Decide whether you're going to stay here in meditation or re-enter the rest of life.

Make that decision and in any event I'll look forward to seeing you back here some other time.
