Let's notice how it is to be here.
Just now.
Will take a few moments to settle.
And gently transition from what's been happening.
Into simply being here.
We can invite the body.
To find a way of being.
That feels comfortable.
It could be sitting,
Leaning back in a chair.
Or lying down.
The body can find its own way of being at ease.
The eyes can be open or closed.
Whatever feels natural in this moment.
Either way.
We can let them soften gently.
And the muscles around the eyes may soften too.
And this softness can spread to the rest of the face.
The jaw.
And the neck.
We don't need to force anything.
We're just giving the body some space.
To be here.
In the way.
That it wants to.
Today we are exploring how this moment any moment really.
Might be full of small doorways.
There might not be anything dramatic.
But there might be small openings appearing wherever attention happens to land.
We can let attention move as it does naturally.
And stay curious about where it comes to rest.
We are not specifically looking for doorways.
But we can just notice and recognize where our attention goes.
And towards here.
It might be a passing sound.
A thought drifting through.
A feeling,
That's barely there.
Or perhaps something else.
We're not directing attention.
We're just noticing.
Where it goes.
On its own.
Whenever attention lands somewhere.
We can rest there briefly.
We don't need to analyze anything.
Or try to make sense of anything.
Each moment.
We're just present.
With whatever is here.
Attention may keep on moving.
Again.
And again.
That's what it does.
Maybe it lands on something we expected maybe on something we didn't expect.
That's all fine.
And each time it moves.
We can follow it.
With gentle curiosity.
We might notice that wherever attention lands,
There's a kind of opening there.
A small toy.
A brief moment of contact.
With what is here.
A sound might open into stillness.
A sensation.
Into something soft.
A thought.
Into simple recognition.
We don't have to find the opening.
It's already there.
We don't have to do anything.
With the doorways that appear.
We can simply rest.
With whatever attention has found.
Lightly and without reaching for more.
There's no need to understand it.
No need to hold on to it.
We can merely recognize.
There is just this.
We might spend a few moments wondering.
How would it be?
If every place where our attention lands.
Is already an opening.
And now.
We can let awareness widen again.
And tune into the environment around us.
The sounds that are present.
The way the body touches the surface beneath it.
This snow rush.
We can just sense what's around us.
And come back to being more connected with the external world.
When it feels right.
We can start to shift our body a little.
Maybe wiggling the fingers and the toes.
If the eyes have been closed.
They can open.
In their own time.
Taking in the space around us.
As we move on.
With the day.
Perhaps we might carry.
This small sense of wonder.
That wherever attention lands.
There may be a doorway right there.
The world is full of them.
And from here.
We can continue.
In a gentler way.
