This guided meditation contains affirmations for a more positive internal belief system, accepting & enjoying your imperfections, to work towards celebrating the wonderful being that you are. The meditation is inspired by a written meditation by Ann W. Smith in her book 'Overcoming Perfectionism'. By guiding you into a receptive state of being, the affirmations are most warmly welcomed into your subconscious. Biggest effect happens when listening to this meditation for at least 21 days in a row.

Transcript

This is a meditation for you to come to terms with who you are.

To see the beauty that is you in the imperfection,

In the imperfect human being that is you in all its glory.

Relax your body and your mind in whatever way is most comfortable for you.

Becoming conscious of your breathing,

Letting go of distractions,

Letting go of concerns,

And letting go of tensions in your body.

Let worries and to-do lists float away with every breath you take.

I invite you to prepare now to listen carefully to the new more positive belief system that is growing within you as we speak,

As you sit here.

Prepare yourself to embrace it as you.

In each of us,

There is a natural ability and willingness to learn new things,

And for this moment,

You have no need nor desire to resist.

You feel very open to a new understanding of yourself and others,

The critical voices of your parents,

Of figures of authority,

And of yourself,

Your own mental committee.

These are all silent for now.

With each breath,

In each moment,

You can choose to believe these new positive messages.

A new voice of love and acceptance is developing in you,

And this voice will soon sound like a voice that will silence any critical thoughts.

Your essence is seeking the safety,

Acceptance,

And unconditional love that this voice will provide.

Listen now to the following affirmations with this voice.

I honor and celebrate my humanness.

My only responsibility is to be true to myself,

To embrace my essence.

There is no need to be perfect or to act perfectly.

My greatest assets are my intuition,

My willingness to risk,

And my openness.

I can enjoy being still.

I am supposed to make mistakes,

I was made that way.

My humanness makes it easier for others to love me and reach out to me.

What I'm doing is just enough.

My body is healthy and perfect,

Just the way it is.

I can trust my inner voice to tell me what I need.

I am lovable no matter what I do.

I accept myself exactly as I am for today,

This moment.

Pause now and breathe in what you have heard with your hands over your heart.

Allow this voice to enter your subconscious in every way it possibly can.

Allow yourself to believe that this voice is you.

Allow yourself to also be this voice,

To become one with this kind voice.

While we are bringing this meditation to a close,

I want you to know that you are enough,

Just the way you are,

Exactly the way you are right now.

When I invite the bell again,

You can slowly start coming back to the room while maintaining this feeling of being at one with this kind voice and seeing if maybe you can bring this voice with you into your daily life.

Be kind to yourself.

Namaste.
