Welcome to your meditation.
I invite you to sit in a comfortable position.
Allow your feet to be firmly planted on the floor and your hands to rest on your lap.
I invite you to close your eyes and relax into this position and allow your chair to support your body.
Take a deep breath into your body and exhale the air out of your body.
Witness the cycles of your breath.
Take a moment to watch your breath without judgment.
Notice the release throughout the body.
As you breathe in and out.
Every breath is fortifying your physical and inner life.
You are strong,
Supported,
Blessed,
Sober,
Open,
Loved,
And connected to a power greater than yourself.
A power that knows and accepts you for who you are.
Breathe in the love,
Acceptance,
And grace.
I invite you to allow this love,
Acceptance,
And grace to wash over you like water.
Imagine yourself standing in a beautiful grotto beneath a waterfall on a warm summer day.
The sun is bright and shines through the trees in dazzling ways.
The water is warm and washes over you.
The water flows from your head,
Down your face,
Along your neck,
And trickles down your arms to your fingertips.
Many drops of water fall from your fingertips to the water surrounding your legs and feet.
Notice the sensation of water streaming down your torso,
To your legs,
And into the supportive,
Cleansing water that surrounds you.
You are safe,
Strong,
Supported,
Blessed,
Sober,
Open,
Loved,
And connected to a power greater than yourself.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Notice what may be a deep level of peace,
Relaxation,
Confidence,
And trust within you that all is well in this moment.
You have everything that you need right here,
Right now.
Allow the words of this peaceful prayer to infuse peace and strength into your body,
Lord,
Make me a channel of Thy peace.
That where there is hatred,
I may bring love.
That where there is wrong,
I may bring a spirit of forgiveness.
That where there is discord,
I may bring harmony.
That where there is error,
I may bring truth.
That where there is doubt,
I may bring faith.
That where there is despair,
I may bring hope.
That where there are shadows,
I may bring light.
That where there is sadness,
I may bring joy.
Lord,
Grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted.
To understand than to be understood.
To love than to be loved.
For it is by self forgetting that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
It is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.
Amen.
Take a deep breath into your body and then release it.
As we bring this guided meditation to a gentle close,
I invite you to wiggle your toes and fingers and stretch your body any way that your body intuitively wants you to.
I open your eyes and take in what you see before you.
I hope that you enjoyed this meditation and hope that we share another one together very soon.
Many blessings.
