Ever felt like no matter how much money you have in your bank it's just never enough or if when you're spending money you feel really guilty about it or you feel really anxious about it then you may be experiencing something called money dysmorphia.
And basically,
This is a really distorted perception of your financial reality where you have all these feelings of fear and self-doubt,
And that makes it really hard to feel secure financially,
Even if you are financially stable and you're kind of doing okay.
So you might find yourself really worrying about money,
Thinking about it a lot,
Over-saving,
Avoiding conversations about money,
Or even just feeling like you're not really worthy of the money that you already have.
We're going to shift that with EFT tapping.
So in this session what we're going to do is really acknowledge all those emotions that come up.
We're going to release some of the limiting beliefs or money blocks that you might have so that you can create a new healthier relationship with money.
So let's get started.
So make yourself nice and comfortable where you're sitting and then just take in a nice deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Just coming into this space grounding yourself.
And then tapping on the side of the hand,
Repeat after me either in your mind or out loud,
Either is fine.
Even though I feel like I never have enough money.
No matter what I do.
And this fear feels so heavy I'm open to being kind to myself anyway.
Even though I feel anxious and guilty.
When I spend money,
I think about money.
As if I'm going to make a mistake or lose control.
I honour how hard this is,
How hard this feels.
And I allow myself grace.
Even though my mind tells me that I'm not doing enough when it comes to money,
I'm not saving enough,
I'm not making enough.
And my body just feels tight with all this stress and worry.
I choose to deeply and completely.
Love,
Honour and accept myself.
Or at least I'm learning to.
And then moving to the eyebrow point,
I always feel like I don't have enough money even when I do.
Side of the eye.
My mind keeps telling me that I'm behind.
But I should be doing more.
Making more.
Having more money?
Under the eye and I feel this anxious pressure build up in my body.
Every time I think about money.
Like I avoid it.
So keep tapping here,
Just sense where you feel any tightness in your body at the moment.
Common places are the chest,
The back.
The throat.
Wherever you feel it that's just fine,
Just tuning in a little bit to the body.
Under the nose.
It never feels safe to spend money even when I really need something.
There's always an apprehension there.
Chin point,
Like what if I make a mistake,
What if I ruin everything,
Overspend.
Collarbone point.
It's like I have to hold on so tightly to money otherwise it's just going to disappear.
Under the arm and I see other people doing really well with money and I feel like I'm failing somehow.
They have it all together with their money and finances and investments.
Why can't I?
Top of the head.
This anxiety about money is always there.
Weighing me down.
Eyebrow point and when I check my bank account my body feels.
.
.
How does your body feel when you log on to your online banking or go into your bank?
What's your physical experience?
When you see those numbers,
These outgoings,
Incomings.
Side of the eye and when I buy something my heart races even if I can afford it.
It's like I'm doing something wrong somehow.
Under the eye and I feel guilty like I don't deserve to have or enjoy money.
Should be more careful.
Under the nose and it feels no matter how much money I save or half It's never enough.
Chin point and this fear of something going wrong with my finances is really exhausting.
Collarbone point.
I feel so much pressure to be responsible.
But I never feel truly secure.
Under the arm.
I keep waiting for the moment when I finally have enough.
It just never comes.
Top of the head.
That moment never seems to come.
It's never enough.
Eyebrow point and I feel like I'll always struggle with money.
Maybe this is just ingrained in me.
Side of the eye,
But maybe I don't have to struggle forever.
Things could be different.
Under the eye.
I feel like I can't really trust myself with money.
Under the nose but I have made some good financial choices before.
What if I'll never feel really safe around money no matter how much I have?
Even when I have enough.
Will it really be enough?
Collarbone point but maybe I can learn to feel safe with money.
And that's what you're doing here today.
You're learning,
You're tapping,
Releasing.
Under the arm.
I feel like I have to control every single penny,
Pound,
Dollar,
Dime,
Whatever it might be.
Need to keep track.
Top of the head.
But what if money can support me?
Instead of control me.
Eyebrow point.
Maybe somewhere along the way I learn that money is scary.
Money is scarce.
Money is associated with a perceived negative emotion.
Side of the eye and I acknowledge all the past stories I learned about money.
The founder of EFT,
Gary Craig,
Calls this the stories of writing on the wall.
And that is that we all have these kind of money stories or these subconscious beliefs that we picked up often in childhood.
About money,
Wealth,
Security,
Whatever it might be.
Just thinking about those stories.
Maybe you grew up hearing things like money doesn't grow on trees or you might have watched your parents or caregivers really struggle with money and internalize their fear.
We pick up on all these things as children.
And these beliefs get written on the walls,
If you like,
Of our subconscious minds and they shape our reality without us even realising it.
The fact that you're here today is pretty awesome because you're recognising these stories.
Under the eye,
So maybe in the past you've even disproven some of these stories.
And you know,
Maybe you can start to clean off the writing on the wall.
So I'd like you to just think about one story now that you picked up on about money.
I want you to see yourself starting to clean that writing off the warp wall.
Clean away those words,
Really scrubbing at them.
You want to start with a nice clean slate.
Under the nose,
I can see that I have more financial awareness than I give myself credit for.
Maybe I don't have to be perfect with money to feel safe,
To be safe.
Collarbone point and I acknowledge that I have survived every single financial challenge that I faced.
Might have been difficult.
Really challenging!
But you're still here.
You've literally survived 100% of your worst days.
New hair.
Under the arm,
Maybe I can start trusting myself little by little.
Stop trusting yourself with money.
Top of the head,
I'm more financially capable than my fear tells me.
You are.
You are capable.
I give myself permission to release this fear of never having enough.
So just breathing and tapping,
Letting that go Feeling that release.
Breathe out.
Side of the eye,
It's safe for me to spend money on things that support me.
Under the eye,
I'm willing to trust that I'm making the best choices I can.
And that's all any of us can do.
Under the nose I allow myself to feel more at ease and flow with money.
Ease and flow with money.
It's like a dance.
I don't have to hold on so tightly.
I'm safe.
Collarbone point.
I wonder if I can start feeling more secure when it comes to money right here,
Right now.
So really opening your heart and mind.
Under the arm,
I'm open to shifting my relationship with money and changing the writing on the wall.
Changing my money story.
Rewriting it.
Creating new ones.
Top of the head,
It's safe for me to step into financial peace.
We're going to finish with a nice round of positive affirmations so sit nice and tall really feel this with your whole body okay I'm capable of managing my money with confidence.
Say it strong,
Say it proud,
Say it loud.
Side of the eye I trust myself to make financial decisions that support me.
Under the eye.
I'm allowed to enjoy money without guilt.
And enjoy it.
Under the nose.
I release the belief that I'm not enough.
You are enough.
I choose to believe that I'm financially secure and supported.
Collarbone point,
I welcome abundance into my life with gratitude.
And that gratitude is so important.
Under the arm I'm safe,
I'm worthy and I'm enough just as I am.
Top of the head I'm creating a new peaceful relationship with money.
In writing stories which serve me positively.
Well done.
Okay,
Stop tapping there.
Take a nice deep breath in.
And let go slowly Just place your hands on your heart,
Gently close your eyes or just soften your gaze if you prefer to do so and just notice how you feel.
Maybe there's been a shift somewhere.
Maybe you feel a little bit lighter,
A little bit calmer.
Maybe you're just a bit more aware of the money stories that have been really shaping your life.
And perhaps a specific story came up,
One that you feel like you need to work through a bit more,
That you want to release or rewrite.
And I want you to remember that these money stories,
They run deep.
They can often feel really painful.
They can feel like they're tied up with your self-worth,
Your security,
Your identity.
If you felt really emotional during this that's completely normal.
But by bringing this into your awareness today,
That's a really massive step.
That's huge.
And know that if you ever need that extra support to work through this,
Know that your heart and your mind are open to receiving that support.
Because you are the grown-up now.
You are the one in charge.
You have the power to shape your own destiny.
You can be confident with money.
You can have financial peace,
Security.
And abundance.
Exactly as you are.
You really feel into that,
That worthiness,
That inherent worth.
You're doing really well.
Well done,
So open your eyes,
Have a big stretch.
And just remember,
You know,
Healing your relationship with money is a journey.
I've been through a lot of this myself.
It can take time.
But the fact that you showed up for yourself today is amazing.
You are worthy and abundance is your birthright.
